There was a crack in one of the pieces and the door catches on the desk when you open and close it.

I have gotten other items of this brand and they were beyond great. This one is not. It had paint quality issues and even a big drip on a piece. Thankfully it is on the back and inside so it can be hidden. The way they want you to put it together and all the shelves are floating was very irritating to line up and get right. After my husband and I put the first book together we discovered that to add the desk part you have to remove a shelf, the same ones that were floating and causing trouble. It is very wasteful because now I have this extra shelf I have to find some place to store. Not to mention it was incredibly difficult to line up. The other side with the cabinet wouldn’t even line up right and it cracked when it finally lined up where it needed to be. Some of the holes weren’t even fully pre drilled so the bolts had trouble starting. It took way longer than it should have to put together. My daughter at least loves her new desk.
