stop working after we switched the house phone from AT&T to Comcast, just never get connected to the receiver side.

I have no idea that it was used.
I’m moving so I didn’t open it until today.

It has no catcher for the ADF or received faxes. The paper holder for the ADF is scrawney. I was an idiot & did not read really anything. It takes rolls of carbon paper for printing (which I’ve not had to do – I have another printer) as opposed to an ink cartridge. It does not print a receipt so you have no way of verifying that all your info/pages made it across. I was in a hurry, I needed a fax macieine asap, could not go out to look them over & had little money to spend. Next time, I will buy what I want rather then being forced to accept what’s out there due to need. I guess it sends ok – No one’s called to say anything’s wrong but, if it sends too poorly they wouldn’t know where to call. It is super slow and often needs to be “hand fed” page by page for larger faxes. I guess if I only had a page or two every now & again, it’d be ok. Not what I will choose in the future tho. Sorry.

We’ve used this for about 2 months now and have been very satisfied. It was very easy to set up and we have had no problems with it. We have it set up with a “distinctive ring” feature so we can have both a voice number and a fax number on the same physical phone line. It has had no problem handling this and it has always been able to tell a fax call from a voice one. We also have an answering machine, PC Modem, cordless phone, and credit card terminal all hooked up to the same physical line as this fax machine and have no conflicts or problems. The footprint is very small which is nice if you’re running out of deskspace.
The print quality is OK. We use to have an inkjet based fax machine and it was better.
When your comparing prices on these machines, be sure to add the cost of a replacement cartridge to the purchase price of this one (…)The cartridge that comes with it is only good for about 20-30 pages. I get that much junk fax in a couple of weeks. If you decide to buy this one, get a spare cartridge also.
We use this in a home office set up and only get a few of faxes a day. If you have high volume fax needs, this may not be the machine for you. It’s slow and I’m not convinced that it would hold up very long under high-volume situations.

Used for many years without any issues

I bought the first one about 15 years or so ago. It still works, but would only except 5 or 6 pages to fax at one time. I got tired of standing there feeding them through that way so I searched out the exact same model and got this new one. I unplugged the old and plugged in the new and was faxing within 1 minute. I highly recommend for home or small business.
