They are pretty comfortable for size on cot. They don’t inflate to claimed size, I exchanged once but decided to just keep even though didn’t reach claimed information thickness.

This is my second xxl Teton self-inflatable mattress. The first one, I’ve had for 5 years. It is awesome. It is wide enough to provide a great sleep and you can customize the amount of inflation by blowing a little extra air into the mattress when needed. The new mattress will be added to the first, side by side, creating a continuous Queen-sized sleeping area.

I bought this for a 6-night camping excursion around Hawaii. I have a bad back and hips and I sleep mostly on my side so I needed a camp mat that is comfortable and thick and this did NOT disappoint! I felt like I was sleeping on a regular mattress and my hips and shoulders never ‘ground’ into the dirt. If I had the time, I just opened the valves and let it inflate on its own or if I was ready to sleep, it took just about 7 breaths to fully inflate.
Be warned..! It is large and heavy. I wouldn’t dream of actually putting it in a backpack and carrying it anywhere! It’s definitely for car camping. As it was, it took up most of my suitcase.
TIP: It is wide and so hard to pack. I found that once you get ALL the air out you can fold it in half lengthwise, roll it up, and secure it with a bungee cord or a strap. That way it fits nicely in the bottom of a duffel bag…easy peasy!

After 1 year of minimal use the glue or what ever holds the fabric to the foam broke lose. This leads to an air bubble that pops up because of body weight on the mat. Not comfortable at all.

I’ve slept on this on top of my normal bed mattress for over 2 months now and it has held air the entire time. As I look at the build quality I expect this to last for a while. I purchased the XL version and at 6’3 255lbs stocky… this leaves me plenty of room so that my elbows do not fall off while sleeping on my back. I like the material but I have seen other material that might have been cooler though this material feels really good and I can’t complain. I think this was a great investment and the product is as described.

I’m a lifelong camper. In recent years I haven’t camped as much because I’ve been suffering from a lot of hip pain. I took my children camping this summer and decided that I needed to upgrade from an air mattress to a cot and cot pad. After a lot of research I purchased the Teton XXL cot and accidentally bought this Comfortlite self-inflating pad. (I had intended to purchase the mattress that fit the XXL cot, but had been looking at this one as well and bought it by mistake.) As it turned out, that was a happy accident.
At first I wasn’t able to get this to inflate at all and was really frustrated with the purchase. But after watching a YouTube video that showed you how to force air into it by rolling the pad, it made all the difference in the world. I camped out in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park using the XXL cot and this mattress pad for six nights and did not have any issues with hip pain or uncomfortable sleep. This camp pad never deflated or had any sort of trouble, and I loved and it packs down small in its own carrying bag to fit into the car easier.

These pads are pretty awesome. They inflate relatively rapidly, and are pretty comfortable. We use two, stuck together, to create a nice sleeping area in our tent, and have slept very comfortable on them.
The construction seems solid, and I have confidence that they will last a long time. One point of concern is that they need to be rolled up the same way every time, and that, with use, this will cause stress lines and rips in the fabric. Can’t be helped though.
One thing I will point out, however, is that these pads are not exactly small when rolled up. Light enough, sure, but quite voluminous. They are not ideal for those of us who want a super compact item to bring along on a backpacking trip.

(01/25/2021) I ordered both pads together. One (left side) came from Colorado. The other (right side) came from Utah. They arrived 24hrs apart. The one on the left inflated quite a bit more than the other. If I attempt to blow more air by mouth, neither will hold it. The left pad is much more firm and thicker, even with the valves open on both pads, than the pad on the right. The directions say they inflate in a matter of minutes. I know some pads require up to 24hrs, so I will give them both a few hours. If nothing changes, the pad on the right will be returned. I will update the review, stars included, after all is said and done should I have to return one of them.
(01/26/2021) Last night I initiated a return of the pad and dropped it off at Kolh’s. Amazon immediately mailed another today, free of charge, for delivery tomorrow. This review has been bumped to 4 stars as a result. If all is well with the replacement pad (self inflates correctly/fully), the 5th star will be earned. Which I hope is the case because Teton Sports has EXCELLENT merchandise, that usually exceeds the competition in terms of quality AND price. I’ve searched basically everything, including countless YTvids, and no one comes close with regards to this for a tent (3 person Mtn. Ultra $160), sleeping bag (Celsius XXL 0⁰F $70), and sleeping pad (Comfortlite XXL 5.9 R-value $88).
(01/28/2021) Update: The replacement pad inflates as it should and is very comfortable. I don’t feel the floor when laying on it, especially on my side. 5 Stars!

The first time taking the pad out to inflate it, I let it sit with both valves open for at least 90 minutes, and there was change after the initial five minutes. It certainly wasn’t anything more than, at the very most, half an inch thick. I closed one valve and kept it going to see if it would inflate anymore. It did not. I opened both valves and nothing was happening either. Each time I did this of course I would try to inflate it by blowing air into it and it was just a pain and didn’t work anyway. I certainly didn’t want to put a lot of moisture into it. Finally, I decided to take what air was in there, closing both valves and started at the valve end and roll the mat down, forcing air into the other end of the pad the head really not inflated at all. Then I let it on roll out and opened both valves. It blew up very nicely. I did the same thing for the other end, pushing air back into the valve end with both valves closed and then let it inflate the rest of the way. I topped it off by manual inflation. I love this pad! It is very comfortable! I’m heavy, and I’m a side sleeper and it is awesome!!! So glad I decided to push that air around in the pad. Definitely a great purchase.
