These are the reasons why I couldn’t like this headlight.
– Magnet is weak and it can be deattached easily from metal surfaces or slip.
– Cheap and weak plastic
– Discountinued product. I couldn’t find this product at official energizer web page.
– There are some differences between the describition and the product that I had received. (led lamps are different in photo and I’m not sure if there is a spot or flood light setting.)
– And finaly the reflector of mine head light had lost its metallic color at some areas.
If you want a medium priced headlight choose another model from energizer.
If you prefer quality. Try fenix, led lenser, nite core….

This is a great headlamp. Very bright and easy to click. Some people have talked about a bad hinge on theirs, I’m not sure if there was an old model or something but the hinge on mine is fine. The headlamp also slides in and out easily to use it as a handheld light or snap the decently strong magnet to stuff.

Good headlamp, the magnet is very useful. One issue It has is the pivot hinge is poorly made. If you’re wearing it on your head and have it angled and then move your head up/down it will just fall to a 90 degree position. Extremely annoying and makes it somewhat pointless for work that requires head movement… I had to tape mine so it wouldn’t open up like this.

although the actual lamp body seems to be built well the angle adjustment is wimpy for the weight of the headlamp. Only a slight shake or jar will cause the lamp to tilt. In addition,the clip that holds the lamp to the backing piece can be too easily knocked loose.
for gloved hands, the switch is too small, and very stiff. It cannot be switched on with one finger. You practically have to use the Vulcan Nerve Pinch to operate it. Very likely, because of the wimpy angle adjuster, in the process of turning it on it will change angles as well.
bottom line: although the magnet is a nice feature, the weakness of the angle adjustment and retainer clip renders this lamp prone to moving and even falling off in use. Plus, it rattles. Poor overall design work on this one.
