I bought these to go with a new counter height table we put in our kitchen. They are sturdy, comfortable and look nice. They were easy to assemble and well worth the price. I love having a counter height table, being short. I can use it as a counter to work on and to meals on with these new chairs. We did build a base around the bottom of the table to put our feet on (I’m 5’4″). Otherwise we use the rungs on the chairs which are at the right height for resting your feet.

I purchased four of these chairs. Three were as advertised, but one was a complete misfit. The holes were drilled in the wrong spots. Looked terrible. This one slipped past quality control.

I did research and read the reviews and thought I should chance the purchase since I want this look for my kitchen.
The first chair was fantastic. I love the look, exactly what I pictured! Super easy to put together!
Then tried the next chair…the holes were not lined up properly and the bars on the bottom were uneven. It looked ridiculous. I should have returned, but was in the process of moving. The bar has now broke off. I will eventually be purchasing new stools for my kitchen, but am very sad it won’t be these. I can not chance it again.

I ordered these extra stools to go along with the Winsome pub table & stools – they are a perfect match in wood finish. The wood is solid & has a super nice finish. They were a bit more difficult to put together by myself because the rungs had to be lined up before tightening. With a second person, it would have been a piece of cake.

I purchased 4 of these. The color is cherry/walnut and feels like a nice wood indeed. However they are definitely not easy to install, and 1 out of 4 was defected. The holes were not aligned, so the wooden sticks in the lower half of the chair were slanted (see picture). Eventually one of these sticks broke, because of the tilt it wasn’t sturdy. It’s more comfortable than metal stools, but they don’t feel as comfortable as chairs. Overall if you can install them right and if they are not defected, they do feel sturdy.

Love these chairs! This is the third Winsome item I have bought in the past month. Bought the pub table and two saddle stools… Then decided to move the saddle stools to my bar and get these chairs for the table. Love the quality and sturdiness of all the pieces I bought. Great prices on everything. Super quick shipping with my Prime membership. The wood is absolutely beautiful! I found them easy to put together by following the instructions… Not complicated at all. I highly recommend this item!

We ordered two pairs of these for our kitchen counter.
Packing: Superb. Carefully packed with complete set of parts, well organized. All parts arrived in good condition
Assembly: Relatively easy to assemble by one person, but an extra pair of hands helps. Instructions are medium-to-good in quality and completeness. Included allen wrench can only be used on the short side, which makes tightening the bolts clumsy. You need your own philips screwdriver to finish assembly. One part (the same part on both chairs – the top rung on the left side) needed to be sanded slightly to fit, but otherwise parts fit well. Allow 20-30 minutes per chair for careful, unhurried assembly.
Appearance: Even staining of a deep reddish walnut (reddish brown) color. Not sure what kind of wood is used, but it has a simple, attractive grain.
Overall quality: All parts seem to be high quality and carefully prepared.
Stability: All of the chairs wobble a touch when free standing, but they are firm and stable when someone sits on them.
Very happy with this purchase so far. Would consider buying more if I had a use for them. Loss of the 5th star because of minor issues:
– one sided allen wrench
– medium/good instructions
– part that didn’t quite fit
– wobble when free standing and no instructions how to adjust or deal with the problem.

*EDIT* so after putting them together and having my very slim 150lb husband sit on them, they were the most FLIMSY, horrible chairs I’ve ever seen! Absolutely TERRIBLE! And there was a staple sticking out of the bottom of the one leg that could’ve ruined our floors from scratching the entire floor. Not pleased and would like a refund.
I wasn’t expecting a lot out of these for the price, but I was expecting something for my $100, and since they had a 4.5 star review. They’re tiny. I saw the comparison picture of them to a “regular” barstool and these are miniature in comparison to the part you sit on.. but especially the back that you supposedly can rest your back on. It’s extremely short. Also extremely tedious to put together. Simple but tedious and time consuming. The chairs aren’t constructed with care and aren’t good quality, but because of the price for both and them being real wood so they get 3 stars.

Everything went great however the wood screws cracked the wood. The manufacturer doesn’t recommend this however I will use glue instead on the replacement. Glue bond is actually stronger than wood. So the glued dowels should actually be stronger than screws in wood… Still a fabulous deal for the money. I just forgot about the glue idea proposed by a different reviewer. Glue was my original intention… However the screw won out in my mind….
