A really nice set of levers. Took a bit of time to arrive, but they are excellent quality (better than the ones that they are replacing) and look great.

Installed these onto my Diamondback MTB (front/rear disc brakes) which previously had TekPro levers, one of which broke when the bike tipped over inside my garage. The levers also come with brake cables, so I went ahead and swapped the old cables out for the new ones. Cables were exactly the length I needed, and the new Shimano levers operate smoothly with ease. Make sure the brake cables are adjusted accordingly, so that the levers have the right amount of travel for effective braking. Shimano components tend to be well-engineered and last a long time, so if you’re looking for new brake levers and cables, these will do the job perfectly.

I replaced my son’s original brake levers that came with his 24″ BMX bike. These are so much nicer. I wish it was a little more clear that it came with brake cables. Not a big deal but it does makes this an even better value purchase if you need them.

These brake levers are very high quality. They don’t feel loose or rattly, and are smoothly finished. They are very sturdy and do not click when released because they have a plastic or rubber pad inside the lever to cushion rebound.

I am using these on a rigid 29er single speed mountain bike in combination with two Shimano m-375 calipers on Universal to post mount adapters, Shimano BR56 180mm rotor up front, 160mm in the rear. Shimano universal stainless steel brake cabling and Shimano T-Type brake levers. This setup comes up to less than $50 a wheel and produces ample power.
