Took a bit to tune to my gear set but works great once I got it tuned.
Next some Shimano Disk Breaks to go with those integrated Breaklevers. They are on order now.
Jesse Mazur –
I bought a mongoose mountain bike, flat rock. The gears in the brakes were bad so I replaced them with your I wasted my money buying that bike. Thanks for the gear brake handles
PGray –

I used this kit to replaced the original shifters and cables on my Trek 7.2FX that is 10 years old as of 2023.
The kit includes good quality cables and housings for both the front and rear brakes and the front and rear derailluers.
If you have to cut sections of outer cables our housings make sure you have quality cable cutters (not wire cutters). The kit does not include cable cutters.
Happy to say that my bike is shifting perfectly now. The shifter action is easy on my thumbs and fingers, and the gear indicator is easy to read. The Good kit for 24 speed bikes.

Arrived quickly. No worries, this set of shifters has everything you’ll need to swap out old grip shifters to trigger shifters.
A set of shifters with cables, new brake cables and all the cable housing you’ll need to do the job.
A quick google search and you’ll find a ton of videos that will walk you thru the entire thing.
The entire job took less than 30mins including watching the how-to video.

4.5 stars would be more like it… I got these $40 levers to replace a cheaper Shimano set that was on my bike for 15+ years, and starting to wear out. These are sooo much better than the old ones. The package included a full set of cables and housings, which maybe didn’t need to be replaced, but why not? Installation was pretty quick and simple. Small adjustments and break-in for a few miles, and they’ve been working perfectly so far. It took a few rides to get used to such light and easy shifting forces. It’s very easy to go 3 cogs at a stroke. My only very minor quibble is that I’d prefer NOT to have the gear position indicator windows. I go by feel and RPM anyway, and the indicators are hard to see while riding. So there’s a small amount of useless extra plastic material, that’s more vulnerable to breaking from impacts. It would be nice to have a model of this quality, with a no-indicator option. If you’re going to get new lever sets, it makes no sense to go with the cheapest, just to save $10-15. And it’s hard to imagine much benefit from paying $50 or $60 for the premium levers.
