This is not necessarily the seller’s issue but Shimano’s product quality on this is quite poor. Received a brand new crankset with many broken teeth on the large chainring (see image attached). Some teeth are sharp, some are chopped off.

I’ve only done two rides with this crankset and several of the teeth on the large chain ring have already broken. It’s still functional but it’s surprising for a Shimano product.

Muy buena calidad, se siente la diferencia. Mi bicicleta GW trajo un kit de arrastre genérico de baja calidad que duró 8.000 km. El Tourney se siente mucho mejor y funciona perfecto con el grupo

I was able to make the crankset work on my 2006 Specialized Roubaix Pro. It has custom freewheel gearing of a mountain bike 11-34 Nine speed cassette. I live in a very inclined hill area. I was able to make it work on my bike by changing the bottom bearing bracket to a smaller spindle axle. My new chain was cut down a few links to make it work, due to my old chain ring being a larger size.

I spent about an hour mainly climbing uphill on and off 7 miles. So far so good, I have no issues or complaints over the rigorous testing I had done on it.

I decided to use just a larger front chainring and bigger rear gears

Got these cranks to upgrade my vintage cranks which were messed up! They look great on the bike and ride well! Will be getting a full tourney upgrade! Bike here is a peugeot ao8 / uo8 with a 110.5 mm spindle which this crankset calls for.

  8. bootbuyer

This is a square tapered crankset. It came with a liitle plastic guide to properly space it with your front derailleur. Installed this using the Park Tool crank remover. I’ve put around 500 miles on it and I haven’t noticed any issues since installation. The 34 tooth comes in handy when fatigue sets in and there is still that one last bridge or hill. Overall another great purchase from Amazon.

  9. DA MIKE

This crankset I purchased had a few manufacturer defects including: teeth that appear too short or broken on large ring and the space between the teeth are too sloped, the chain will slip.
