I ordered a bunch of these for the mudroom of the ski camp. I’ve been looking for a better alternative to stacking the skis up by the door and then having the crusted snow that is stuck to the skis melt all over the floor. I haven’t yet mounted these but I will say they are built very well – quite sturdy, and the two arms of the rack are spring loaded and connected together – so when you move one arm the other moves at the same time. It is very easy to get a pair of skis, or a snowboard into the mount. I am curious to see how well these will hold a wet snowboard but that will have to wait for the ski season. The “feet” of the rack are rubber coated so I’m thinking they’ll hold well, even to a wet pair of skis or snowboard. In total, I ordered 5 of these, in various colors, and am anxious to see what they look like when mounted to the wall. The rack also comes with a safety strap to put around the skis to keep them from falling should they come out of the rack. The strap is basically a small bungee cord and I do not know if it would fit around a snowboard. There are two posts for hanging ski poles on as well. I’ll edit this review with pics as soon as I get the brackets mounted in place.

I got these to hang my skis on in the mud room rather than have them standing in a corner and falling over every time I grab a different pair from the pile! They seem well made, they hold the skis surprisingly well and I can put a boot tray under them to collect any rain/snow that the skis have after driving home from the mountain. They’re more expensive than figuring out some diy solution but if you’re like me, you’d rather be skiing than making a ski rack so you never get round to it.

This is essentially the same thing as the more expensive Ski Grabber, but more colorful and less pricey. These also have a bungee hook as an added precaution so the skis don’t fall. (Not that I live in an earthquake prone area or anything.)
Mine arrived in a damaged box, but the pieces inside were unscathed.
The arms are connected by levers in the back so they move together, and the contact surfaces have a grippy, rubbery surface to hold your skis snug. (I hope they don’t cause any yellowing my hot garage over the summer, but I won’t know that until next year.)
The hooks for the ski poles are also nice, but since I use a ski/pole carrying harness I just leave them strapped together because I’m lazy.

Very functional ski holders! Very complete mounting instructions along with mounting hardware are included. Wall anchors are included as an option, but I decided to mount to a board and then on the wall so I could pick up a couple of studs (and get my spacing done on the bench since I was putting up a pair of them.) The wall anchors included are the good kind with thick threads, so I would have felt confident putting them up with those as well if I hadn’t had a board around. The clamping mechanism works well and feels very secure! I am not worried about the skis falling at all. The included bungee cords feel unnecessary, I’m not at all concerned about the skis tipping out. We don’t have snowboards, so maybe they’re meant more for that application since they’re wider. Anyway, these are winners and are much more substantial than a lot of other hanging rack options. Plus, having color options is really nice!

Keeping skis from falling all over the place like pick up sticks is a perennial challenge in our household. I’ve gotten ski racks to go on our slat wall but they don’t do a great job of holding the skis together–the skis just want to pop open at the bottom and slide out of the slot.
So, I ordered these ski holders. For starters, they’re made with what feels like very solid, sturdy plastic that’s pretty thick. I can see these holding up for a good long time. The part of the ski holder that is in contact with the tips of the skis is made from a soft, very grippy rubber. So grippy that the two halves actually sort of stick together at first when you remove them from the package. These work like the old Chinese finger trap, where the heavier the skis are and the more they pull downwards, the tighter these holders grip the skis. The set includes mini-bungee cords to help hold the skis in place, but I can’t see that being necessary given how grippy the holders are (and the bungee cords are sort of a pain to get hooked on because of how the cord protrudes into the space for the hook).
The set also includes wall anchors and screws; thankfully they’ve included decent screw-in wall anchors, rather than the cheap, useless expanding anchors that so many products include. The included screws are just a little shorter than what I’d like if I had to install these directly into 2×4 studs but will work fine for the provided anchors.
My only complaint is that while this holder is designed with two hooks at the bottom for hanging your ski poles, there is very little clearance between the hook and the main part of the ski grippers so getting your ski pole straps on there is a bit tedious. I would prefer to see larger hooks placed a little lower for ease of getting the poles on and off the hooks. Also, the pole hooks double as where you hook the mini-bungee cord, so if you both hang your poles and hook the mini-bungee cord, it gets a little crowded down there.
Overall, this isn’t an inexpensive product, but the quality seems to be there and I think it’ll do a good job wrangling our skis. My only wish is that they would make a version that can be hung on slat walls (or some sort of adapter that this can be attached to so it can be used on a slat wall).
