I don’t normally review stuff here… buuuut Umarex deserves this.
She really deserves the rating. Very impressed! Beautifully accurate out at least to 25yds thus far into a BB/Pellet Spinner trap. First five shots with her: 4/5 sent the target ringing/spinning the 1.5″ spinners in the trap. 2x Fresh CO2 and Daisy steel BBs. Open sights, not adjusted, perfect 0600 sight position……
As has been mentioned, it’s not a real hardwood stock/forearm, at least on this model purchased. That being said it looks to be fiberglass-ish, so maybe it’s hardwood sawdust impregnated resin, then a ‘realtree’ type applied finish to the surface as the grain look is antique-ish and doesn’t look or feel cheap. Dunno. Regardless, it still looks great, and I might gingerly sand down the very fine mould-lines felt. But it’s not a deal killer at all.
Metal work on the entire thing is just fine. Ejecting shells only fly a few feet and the shells are metal, so they help increase the weight of both the rifle and the Peacemaker pistol closer to real weight. But I’m comparing to steel Marlin levers as I don’t own any Winchesters.
I own a few airsoft and Daisy pump BB/pellet gun and a Sig MCX CO2 pellet with rifled barrel and this was ringing the spinner targets outta the box, where others I’ve got took some time to dial-in.
I also got the Colt/Umarex Peacemaker and she’s as accurate as well (for a 5″ unrifled BB barrel) hitting the pellet trap at the 25yds (but no spinners -;/). She’s just as nicely made…. just wish she had something besides the ‘ivory’ plastic grips. I didn’t see the need for the extra $ for the ‘John Wayne’ version, though I really wanted the ‘blued’ over the ‘nickel’ finish. Oh well. It doesn’t detract from the quality of the build.
They’re both fun and accurate and a cheap alternative to blowing my .45 Colt reloads! Enjoy!

I’ve not had a chance to shoot it as much as I would like but so far it has been great. It seems to be pretty accurate. The imitation wood stock looks very realistic. It seems to be well made and the lever action works smooth. It is a little difficult to load but I believe that will become easier as the rifle gets broken in and I’m more familiar with loading it.

There is not a more satisfying, more visceral, more authentic, Winchester 1894 shooting experience out there, than this rifle. It may not be real steel, it may not shoot real cartridges and real bullets, but it’s as close as it gets. It has all the right features, presses all the right buttons, covers all the bases. The tube magazine is loaded through the side Kings gate like they should be, and it holds 10 shells, plus 1 shell “chambered”, just like the real steel rifle. Each shell is loaded with a single .177 BB (it’s also available in airsoft 6mm, and there are pellet shells available too), and each shell has to be levered into the chamber, which also ejects the previous cartridge when it loads the next one, just like the real steel. It uses two CO2 cartridges loaded into a chamber in the butt, cleverly hidden behind a buttplate with the opening and closing tool built in. The shells are made of a brass-like metal, they look and feel authentic. The rifle looks and feels authentic. It’s the right weight, it’s the right size, it’s the right length, the lever and hammer and trigger all look and feel right. And while this comes with faux wood stocks, they look good enough to pass a casual inspection; AND, there’s a wood stock kit available for it, too. Even the saddle ring is the real deal, and fit for a traditional cavalry single point sling of the period. Work the lever, it loads a shell and cocks the hammer, just like it’s supposed to. Pull the trigger, the hammer falls and strikes the firing pin which opens the valve and launches the BB through the cartridge. Work the lever and do it all again. It shoots hard, it shoots accurate, and it’s a lot of fun. Putting this next to a real steel 1894, you’d be hard pressed to tell which is the BB gun without shooting it. When you want to shoot a levergun, but don’t want to have to go to the range, or spend the money for shells, this is just as good. Just try not to lose the shells, they’re between ten and fifteen bucks for six of the OEM ones from Umarex, and they’re easy to lose track of, often out of stock, and hard to find. I designed and 3D printed about two hundred replacements (dimensionally they’re nearly identical to Remington .41 Magnum cartridges), and now I just use those, so I don’t care if I lose any when I go out shooting this thing. Get this rifle, you won’t regret it.

Was pretty excited to receive this replica of a classic American rifle for some fun plinking and was not dissapointed!…at first. The way it looks, feels and handles are really impressive for the price, especially with the reusable shells and cool lever action. Unfortunately, it started to jam often after only a handful of uses and then a piece of the chambering mechanism broke off making it impossible to eject the shells. Didn’t even last a week. Was definitely dissapointed and issued a refund, but maybe the build quality was faulty on this one. Would still recommend because not seeing this being too much of an issue in other reviews and it’s such an awesome bb rifle! I had bought the Umarex Parabellum and Colt Peacemaker bb handguns as well which are holding up great and are just as awesome. Also, just ordered the Thompson model which I can’t wait to try out. Guess I’m starting a bit of a collection lol. Can’t say I’ll “shoot” for the cowboy rifle again sadly because of this experience, but if you have a family member or friend who’s into gun replicas, target shooting, westerns, or just a fun time then definitely check this out. Just be extra carefull with it.
