Greatness Outdoors –
Like most kids, my first gun of any type was the classic Red Ryder lever action BB gun. I spent many many years plinking around in the woods with that gun and loved every minute of it. Now that I am an adult, I had the urge to get a BB gun for messing around in the backyard. I wanted something with some power but wanted that classic lever action feel that I remembered as a kid. When I saw this rifle, I knew it was perfect! I love the classic old west style, and the lever action is exactly what I was looking for. This thing has really great power. With just a few pumps, it is shooting really hard. This gun is really fun to shoot, and I am glad I decided to purchase it. I highly recommend it to you!

I ordered the BARRA Airgun 1866 Cowboy Series air rifle on Amazon on 11/6 and it arrived on 11/9/22 and was in perfect shape. I bought some .177 bb’s and went to friends in the country to try it out at various distances on regular shooting targets. With only one pump, it hit the target at 10 yards, but not with much force, so I continued, trying cocking it between 1 and 10 times to see how it did. Every pump resulted in more power and with the full 10 pump maximum I was close to the bullseye every time at 30 yeards. Pretty impressive. It is solid construction and very good looking. This was a really good purchase for some plinking fun.

It’s a good looking gun. It’s accurate.
Does not seem as powerful as stated; maybe an honest 600 fps, fully pumped. Front sight is almost non-existent. Cocking lever is awkwardly long unless you have very long arms. Difficult to load bb’s, as are most bb guns.

The media could not be loaded.
The weight, is just right. Looks like a Henry carbine. I would have done mean things when I was a child if I could have had this gun. I grew up with Roy Roger’s, as my hero. I know he would be very impressed too.
Natronius –
I like the look. It hisses when not loaded, I like that. Feels like I am going to break the lever and/or hand guard. I’ll update if happens. 50 shots. So far so good

This air gun is pretty powerful, and it feels sturdy. I like the aesthetic of the gun, but have a small issue with the feel of the fake wood. I like the real metal of the gun, especially considering the price.

I wanted an appearance of security for my in home music shop. Just enough to dissuade would be criminals from thinking about robbing this little mom and pop shop. Also the history behind William Hurst’s invention of this great masterpiece is so interesting to all Western enthusiasts young and old. Good job Barra.

Unfortunately didn’t take any pictures before I destroyed it. Excellent gun, very sturdy, very powerful. Wish the plastic was less hollow, the whole balance is thrown off with that plastic they’ve designed to look like wood, but feels very weak compared to the rest of the construction. About my only personal complaint.
It is powerful, the one time I had to discharge I did so in a pile of towels. At 10 pumps (max) it went through most of them, only to stop halfway through one of the last folds. The sound is loud, but not as much, it is mostly the air release that makes the sound. Still too loud for me, considering where I live.
Aside from that, it is excellent, aim is true, feels and looks like any other gun out there. And for the amount it costs, well worth it. Take care of this and it will last you a while. Do what I did, and it will be going in the trash immediately. =)
