Perfect first rifle to learn how to shoot My grandson can load and shoot Easily. He has yet to hit anything yet . but he has a lot of fun. And enjoys getting off of his computer game. I think he will be a good shot someday. I would definitely recommend this for a first time rifle BB gun . I like the kid safety glasses BBs BBs targets and rifle all included. Very good deal .

Shoots both type of ammo and single pump.
    NON-RIFLED barrel. Smooth-bore.
But is a real nice air gun. We all really like it.
Some say it is cheap but it really isn’t.
Barra gets an A+ from us!
    EASY TO COCK
It does have some advantages over the Red Ryder. But a Ryder is one of the best out there! Barra hits the mark VERY HIGH!
Pellets may be finicky when you load them, but the versatility and accuracy are well worth it. We shoot this Barra inside and outside year round. EXCELLENT air rifle!

I bought this for my daughter and I found the lever difficult to operate myself. My daughter was not able to pull the trigger. It looks nice and seems to shoot ok, but it is a long ways away from the Crossman I had when I was a kid. If this is intended to be used by children, the ergonomics need to reflect that.

Different than the old ones but works great. Bought for my 8 year old. Comes with plenty of targets.

When I bought it for my daughter, it was a bit of a hassle to pump the handle – it almost feels like the handle is going to break – but overall it was a very good product. One thing I liked about it was that it felt very well made and solid, and that it shot very far. I’m still trying to figure out proper adjustment of the sight. Again love the product and my daughter also loved it.

Purchased this BB gun for my grandson’s 8th birthday. He loved it! He had tried shooting mine but the stock was too long. He’s pretty good on hitting the target with his new gun! Great package deal for the money!

  8. Daniel Marta

Great gun for youth. It lightweight, 4 lbs i believe, easy to load bbs on side port, easy to use lever action, most accurate with zinc bbs. I wouldnt use pellets in my experience with and also having the adult size Barra 1866. It is hard to load pellets and since its smooth bore and low FPS the justification for getting pellets ( which cost more and you get less of them) just doesnt make sense. (Note : the problem with loading pellets it they can fall ijto bb resivoir and get stuck being extremely difficult at times to remove it, dont you dare drop a Gamo Red Fire in there on accident 😆) overall great gun by Barra!
