This knife is a thing of beauty. I am a nostalgic man, and I am already dreaming of handing down this knife to my daughter one day, as it will surely outlast me. Buck makes a fine knife and this is their flagship. When you hold this knife in your hand you don’t want to put it down, it just feels so nice in your hand.

The blade is beautiful in and of itself. Buck uses a 440 High Carbon steels for this knife, which I believe is proprietary to Buck. It is renown for holding an edge exceptionally well. The Knife I received was extremely sharp out of the box. I really like the semi-sharpened spine on the back of the blade too. I haven’t tried it yet, but it seems like it would great with a firesteel. The knife I received had very little side to side wiggle, which is a sign of a quality knife. The locking mechanism is solid and simply to use. When open, it feels like you’re holding a fixed blade knife.

The sheath is great as well, and you need a sheath for this knife. It is large and uncomfortable to hold in a pocket. On your belt however, it sits great in the sheath and I forget it is there. I wanted a brown leather sheath for mine as it suits me better, so I picked up one on here for about $27. It a a little expensive, but knowing that I am going to have this knife for the rest of my life, I wanted the sheath to suit my style.

I received a 50th anniversary edition of the knife and I am so glad I did. It’s got a beautiful 50 years emblem on the wood handle. There is a reason this knife has been around for 50 years – they are beautiful, incredibly functional, built to last, and made in America. I would gladly buy this knife again and again, but luckily I won’t have to – this knife will still be going like a champ long after I’m gone, especially considering Buck’s great 4Ever warranty (though I doubt I’ll ever need it).

If you are not sure about this knife, trust me and purchase it. It is worth every penny, and from the moment you take it out of the box you will be in love with this knife.

Very pleased with my purchase. A Buck 112 Ranger with its 3 inch blade (a slightly smaller version of the classic 110) is one fine knife. The fit, finish, weight, warranty, out of the box blade sharpness, and American craftsmanship are all superb – MUCH better than “made in China” lookalike imitations. Most Buck knives are still made in the USA, which was an important factor in my purchase. A 112 Ranger may be twice the price of cheaper imports, but it’s 10 times better – which in my opinion makes it a bargain. You get what you pay for. When you hold this knife in your hand, you know you’re holding a top quality product – one I can highly recommend.

I just received the Buck 110 yesterday and I am not typically one to comment on my purchases but the sheer quality of this knife led me to write a review.

I was, to be honest, simply looking for a good EDC knife. I am the type of guy who doesn’t like to repeat what he has said if it has already been said and I certainly don’t like to buy something again that has already been bought. Given that, I don’t think I will ever need to buy another knife, circumstances permitting. The sheer heft and weight of the knife speaks volumes to the durability of the knife. It is not a light knife. Nor is it by any stretch a small knife. But I never asked for something that might float out of my pocket unchecked. I will say that it certainly was much larger than I had anticipated ( even given reviews pointing to the fact that this is a large knife), but I have no problems keeping this in my pocket. To be certain; I dont think I would be comfortable fitting anything else in the pocket with it, save some change or a pen. But rather than complain; I would say that if anything, it has earned its right to have its presence felt as I go about my day.

Straight from the box it was the sharpest I have seen a knife. The amazon picture does a great disservice to spectacular workmanship on the brass, and particularly the nuances and rich color of the wood grain. It is simply beautiful. If it was not of such a sturdy and undeniably strong build I would be hesitant to use it. But its beauty is only surpassed by its simple functionality and toughness. Its is, unsurprisingly, built in the USA. As for the case, I could take it or leave it. I don’t ever intend on using it but would I want to, I have found that it is a bit snug at first. Either way it seems to be solid and I would have no complaints using it while hiking or camping.

But simply put the knife is razor sharp, beautifully constructed and one of the most durable knifes I have handled. It is large and that can be offputting to some, but really just look in the dimensions in the product description and take the measurement. Its right there for you to measure out. But even if you are unsatisfied by it, you sure as heck cant just break it out of dismay. Even if you do somehow manage to, the things got a lifetime warranty. All around, an amazing large knife that will not let you down.

And it sure as heck wont be an heirloom to my children cause it’s going underground with me, thats how much I like the thing. And with the affordable price, the kids can just earn their bread and buy one themselves, it won’t break their bank account!

Let’s face it! It’s a classic! I love mine! Very sharp. Smooth action. Quality feel. Perfect blade thickness. Larger than a pocket knife, but that’s the point. It’s not a pocketknife. It’s a folding hunting knife with a belt sheath. Buck is an awesome company. I just ordered a 60th anniversary edition of this same knife, but with super high quality blade steel and some extra logo. It’s Magnacut if I remember right. These are great for collectors, or just people who want a bulletproof knife. This will hold up well regardless of your needs. It’s built like a tank. It looks great. I installed a thumb assist very inexpensively. Makes even easier to use. Very pleased at this price point. So much so that I spent 200 bucks on my limited edition anniversary one that’s on the way.

Klare Kaufempfehlung!
