How many ways do we love the Playmobil NHL Hockey Arena? Many! We own several Playmobil playsets and all have been of great quality and the play value is second to none. Assembly is very easy and only takes a few minutes. Your set comes with four hockey players – 2 goalies that defend the net and 2 offensive linemen that actually shoot the puck. Your arena also comes with all the stickers for the various teams in the NHL so you can personalize your set. We also purchased the Zamboni which fits perfectly with this set. I came back today to order some referees and the Stanley Cup set!

The kids were super excited to set this up after Christmas. After I got involved in the setup a part to keep a goalie standing up was MIA. If you have kids you know there is about a 5% chance this part is legit missing, 95% chance “I swear it wasn’t there dad”. I went to Playmobil’s website and confessed our possible sins. The next day we received an email they’d ship the part free of charge, a week later there it was! I cannot guarantee this will be your experience however Playmobil earned a huge promoter from me with their hassle free part shipment. As far as the rink itself it is of good quality and has held up well in 3 months. I do regret the kids picked the wrong team sticker to put at center ice. I’ve since stuck the correct sticker to their foreheads, to remind them regardless of season record where our allegence shall lie. 5 stars for the product, 1 star because my kids picked the wrong team.

The rink is sturdy and could be separated into 2 pieces for storage, if necessary. The nets are nice quality and it has all of the NHL stickers. The shooters really shoot and the goalies really move relative to the net.
Everything you need to play a game is in the box: 2 goalies, 2 shooters, pucks.
This set is very nice, well-built and offers hours of fun for all ages.

My child has played with it every day since Christmas 2015. It is extremely well made and easy to move around. It is bigger than his lego-sized rink, which makes the play action more enjoyable for little hands. We have purchased the Playmobil Zamboni and you can remove one of the side panels to have a port for it to travel through to the rink. We also purchased one of the more expensive die-cast replica team Zambonis, which is great because it is heavier and is so detailed. The Playmobil Hockey Advent Calendar has a lot of awesome pieces that go with this that you can’t buy anywhere else: shovels, benches, goal lights, etc. We have also purchased the team members for his favorite teams, so there are a lot of gifting opportunities for the relatives if you are looking for that.
Update: It’s nearing Christmas 2016 and it has still been played with every day.

I bought this for my 2-year-old who is obsessed with all things hockey. I know it’s meant for 5+, so I opened it an put it together ahead of Christmas morning. There are a LOT of tricky-to-put-on stickers and little parts. Unless you have an incredibly patient 5 year old, you may want to put some of it together ahead of time so they can get to the game-playing. Very cool, realistic-looking arena, though, which will be great for pretend-hockey and eventually playing with friends.
