Purchased for 2 year old Great Grandson for Christmas. We are hoping he will be a hockey player one day!!lol

Great little set for young kids. I have purchased two of these. One for ourselves, and one for our cousins when we went to visit. They easily fold up, but frankly we never do that. The quality is decent, especially at this price point, but they they are prone to break. We’ve broken three out of the four goals that we’ve purchased. Each time it was at the joint connecting corners and each time we just set the piece back together and didn’t worry about it (they still stand up like normal). All three break were in a spot where it would still function like normal, just prevented it from folding up and down.
Our five year old loves them. But it’s not strong enough to endure our one year old. Get them and enjoy them, but keep your expectations that they are easy to break if you come into contact with them any real force. These aren’t going to be heirloom sets that last throughout the years, but rather a fun set that will last as long as your kid has interest in them (6 months to a year).
We are happy with ours and use them all the time. We’ll likely buy a new set when these become too destroyed to continue to use.

We wanted something to get our twin boys excited for hockey and some extra exercise (especially during the indoor winter months here in Michigan) Turns out, the whole family enjoys this and we all get fun exercise. This is well built and even if the dense foam balls eventually break down, you get 4 of them to prolong the fun. The pic shows a family playing on their knees so we presumed due to short sticks and that said floor burns to their worried mom. I said mehhhh… don’t worry I bet it will be fine. None of us play on their knees and while I’m 6′ and have to bend quite a bit, it’s still easy to play with. Really good purchase for all ages.

I had never heard of knee hockey, but it is what my grandson asked for for his birthday. He was so excited to get this game. He plays with friends and his parents and is loving it. The nets are well made, the balls a a soft, yet sturdy material, and it comes with everything you need. My grandson plays dek hockey and ice hockey, so for anyone looking for a fun indoor game, this is a good choice. He is 11. I can say that the grownups do say it’s tough on the knees, but, the kids have no complaints.

Set comes in a smallish box and all fits in a black mesh bag. It comes fully assembled, all you have to do is fold out the goals. The goals consist of light plastic tubing that folds out at each corner, which allows it to fold into a single length to fit in the bag. The sticks are a harder plastic and the balls are a very lightweight foam, which even when shot very hard, shouldn’t cause any damage to almost anything. It’s not super high quality, but it can handle a reasonable amount of abuse, as long as there isn’t too much weight falling on either the sticks or the goals. My only complaints are the hinges on the goal tend to unhook, as they are just plastic push buttons. Mine does it in one corner on one goal and causes that corner to fall back slightly. Not detrimental, but it would be nice to be a bit more rigid. The balls also don’t work particularly well on carpet, as they stick, but after a few minutes of play, you learn not to try to slide them, but instead to roll them.

Franklin’s Mini Hockey Set is wonderful, this isn’t our first purchase and it won’t be our last. Two (2) collapsible nets (well made, travel with constantly and never an issue with breakdown or setup), four (4) sticks, four (4) balls and a drawstring carrying bag. When my boys were little this was the set we had at home and took on travel trips. The uncles bought this as a Christmas gift for their young nephew and he is obsessed! Yes, we had to buy the set so everyone could play. My boys spent hours for years playing knee hockey, now my grandson is waking his own Mom up dragging it into their room for a quick game before daycare. Have a couple more babies in the family, looks like it’s going to be a Christmas tradition to gift this set to each new hockey family member as they grow.
