Elisa Austin –
First, L’Oreal has been the ONLY company to ever truly match my skin color.
Second, with other foundations I have issues with it settling into my pores and fine lines (some foundations more than others, but with all of them some degree of ICK). This foundation is miraculous. To test it I applied some to my face and patted it in so it wasn’t a big wet swatch. I did not apply it to my entire face and did not attempt to blend it in. I asked my daughter how it looked and if she could tell where it ended (any harsh lines). She was amazed.
It applies so nicely, its buildable for more coverage, it feels light, it dries velvety, doesn’t sit in my pores or fine lines. It has a subtle scent (a sample of another brand I recently received smells like paint. Why??). It also has SPF and anti aging stuff and sells for less than $15. Sold! I’m done looking for a usable foundation, I’ve found the perfect one!

I love everything about this foundation. Perfect pink and blue undertones for my light to medium skin; great satin texture; long lasting. Department store quality foundation for a drugstore price.
Lori –
Very light weight and the finished look is very pretty.
COLLEEN –
Great Furniture skin and looks like you don’t have any makeup on

Aside from the fact that my first tube arrived used and covered in dried foundation, I was pleasantly surprised by this product. I thought that it only had light/serum-esque coverage, but was happy to discover it actually leans towards more medium coverage. I love the finish of it which leaves the skin looking healthy and fresh. Because I have combo skin, I did find that it became a little oily in my T-Zone as the day continued, but it was nothing a little powder couldn’t fix. My only complaint is that it’s hard to shade match because they don’t list undertones for the shades, but overall I’m super happy and haven’t been able to stop using it.

This is a very nice foundation. It melts into the skin and is not cakey. Highly recommend

My favorite foundation. Ordered it here when it was dropped from the shelves in Canada (or at least in my area anyway) will order again

Nice shade and natural looking coverage. It doesn’t look heavy or cakes.

Seems to cover well. Some say it’s sheer, but for me it seemed more opaque (maybe application style?) which is great if that’s what you’re going for. I think I’ll save this for Wintertime when my skin is a bit drier. It’s definitely dewy, and maybe a little too dewy for humid summers in Arkansas. I’m 54 years old with normal to dry skin. It definitely feels good and nourishing on the skin. I bought this just before purchasing No 7’s Protect & Perfect Intense Advanced All-in-One Foundation for comparison. The No 7 is barely dewy. So, I think the No 7 is going to work better for summer & other seasons. Really hope this helps!

I have been looking for a light-medium coverage liquid foundation that does not dry me out further or sink into fine lines. I am 62 with very dry skin around my mouth. This little serum foundation is really, really pretty and provides a light/medium coverage without zapping my skin of moisture. It leaves a very pretty glow but it doesn’t look like you’re sweating, just a nice radiance. I have purchased products that were 5x the price as this little gem and have been very disappointed. I highly recommend for anyone looking for these qualities in a foundation regardless of age. One caveat, I would not put it under your eyes as I did notice it “puddled” a bit in that area. A quick swipe with a q-tip resolved that issue.
That’s me! –
I was pretty excited to find a tinted spf, I usually use only a tinted moisturizer but it doesn’t contain any spf (so if I want to reapply spf it messes with the top layer of tined moisturizer). Once I got the correct color, the match was good. I like the coverage this gives (medium) however I hate that it retains the dewy/clammy look on my skin so I look shiny/greasy and it’s keeps settling into my fine lines. I use a brush to clean it out of my wrinkes (I’m 44) and minutes later there’s more again. I tried using my setting powder but it didn’t help with either problem. I’ve been wearing it for about an hour now and I’m pretty over it. I won’t be purchasing this again.

I’m 49 years old and spent a lifetime wearing minimal makeup. I’m talking some mascara, lipstick and maybe a little bronzer. I quit using foundation when I was 16 and realized last summer that I’d better figure out how to use it again, because I NEEDED it!! Needless to say, learning about makeup at my age was an eye-opening experience, and it was startling to realize that so many foundations made me look so much OLDER after I applied them. So, it’s been an ongoing search, and an incredibly frustrating one, at times.
This foundation can be gorgeous and produce such a glowing, healthy look to your skin….but you really need to be aware of how you prep you skin and be aware of how to deal with it after it’s on your skin. This foundation contains sodium hyaluronate (a form of hyaluronic acid) which is all the rage in skin care and it’s now making its way into makeup. Which can cause some real problems if you’re not prepared for it. If you live in a dry climate (I do) or it’s winter (it is) then the thing that hyaluronic acid (I’m just gonna call it HA from here on) needs to work, which is water, is seriously lacking. It can still work for you though.
Make sure your skin is well moisturized prior to application. I’d recommend skipping the sponge, although if you do use one, make sure it’s damp….even just a touch damper than you would usually use it. I use a brush AND my fingers…..my fingers in areas where I want heavier coverage and buffing it on with a brush where I want lighter coverage. I also set it very lightly.
It doesn’t settle into lines and wrinkles like most other foundations. Now it’s not going to smooth them out for you, they’re still going to be there. What I’m saying is that it doesn’t migrate and cake up in them. It sinks into the skin beautifully. The next step, for me at least, is crucial right now, since the air is so dry here. After I’ve set it lightly with a finishing powder, I hit it GENEROUSLY with a dewy setting spray. It has made all the difference. If it starts to feel dry through the day, I’ll give it a quick spritz in that area and that seems to solve the problem.
It wears REALLY well, I’d say 8-10 hours. The finish isn’t luminous, it’s more of a healthy glow that looks really amazing and just seems to get better through the day. I think this is going to be AMAZING this summer when the humidity returns because it’s such a lightweight, moisturizing formula and that extra moisture in the air will make using this foundation a breeze. PLUS, I love the SPF in this. That doesn’t mean I skip my regular SPF, because for SPF to work you’ve got to put on a certain amount…..and I don’t care what anyone says, there is no way I’ll be convinced that this is enough to provide adequate protection. But at the same time, I’ll never say no to MORE protection. Ever.
The coverage is what I would call a light to medium coverage. I can still see my areas of broken veins/redness peeking through where they are most concentrated. I ordered Ivory as I’m fair skinned (red hair, blue eyes, pasty white skin during winter) and the color match was good. Overall, if you experience dryness with this, don’t be afraid to work with it to provide some moisture because the results are definitely worth it!!!
