Dove Men’s Body Wash Extra Fresh is the best shower scent available! I love this product and the convenience its container provides. If you haven’t tried body wash in the large bottle “pump” style you really should give this a try and find out what you’re missing. It is so convenient to not have to pick up a bottle, open the cap, shake it around, squeeze it out, close the lid and put it back down. With the 23.5oz Dove bottle, which fits conveniently in the corner rest of the shower tub you just have to pump the product out onto a shower sponge or loofah until its literally gone. It pumps great from beginning to end with no sputter.

I have used Dove’s Extra Fresh deodorant on and off, finding the scent to be clean and, for lack of a better term, fresh. There are some scents I vastly prefer to it (I love Old Spice’s Wolfthorne and Fiji) but I feel like Dove’s products are better suited to be better for my body in general.

After going through many different types of body washes, including those Old Spice scents listed above, Axe’s Snake Peel (I still enjoy this product, it’s just become more difficult to find) and Thai Massage (again, difficult to find this one) and various Nivea products… I’ve been around the body wash block. I found the value for this specific product to be hard to pass up, so I decided to give it a try. Once you’re in the shower and lather up, the scent is actually a bit brighter than its deodorant counterpart and it seems to keep my skin smelling decent throughout most of the morning, into the afternoon. Full disclosure, I am a person who obsesses over my scent and is terrified to have a foul smell to others, so I take lasting scent and attracting scent into consideration heavily.

As a whole, I like this. It seems like it will last quite some time, the price was great, and it smells quite good.

I’ve enjoyed using Dove Men+Care products for a number of years now. I’ve gone back and forth on using their body wash, depending upon budget (oftentimes we would buy the Kirkland body wash from Costco), so I’m glad I was able to find a bulk container of the body wash at a good price. While this clearly won’t apply to everyone, I actually did the research and found out that, between pre-tax per ounce cost, the Subscribe and Save discount, and the lack of sales tax through Amazon, this body soap is cheaper than just about any retail option.

The product itself of good quality. The soap is fairly concentrated (though not quite as much as Costco’s soap or Everyman Jack). The scent is good, but not overly strong, and doesn’t really seem to linger, so it’s more about helping you wake up in the morning (if you shower in the morning, that is). The push-pump is excellent, and while it might seem like a little thing, when you have a nearly 24 ounce bottle of this size and weight, it’s not easy to pick up one-handed. In addition, a push-pump helps you meter out the soap better. The soap itself is good, and doesn’t dry out my skin like some brands.

Overall, I would say that if you can afford spending $5, $6 or more on 11 ounces of Everyman Jack, get it; that’s a great product for a whole slew of reasons. But if body soap is not up there in your priorities for what to splurge on, Dove makes a great, basic, economical but effective body soap.
