Kelly Sarantinos –
Quiet pump with a decent amount of circulation at least for my dart frog vivarium. Only reason its 5 stars is because i came home one day about 3 months after purchasing and it smelled like it was burning. Checked the inlet and outlet but didnt see any obstructions. Plugged it in a few days later and it wont turn on. Totally shot and in the trash. I use an air stone now and a different pump for the waterfall

I had this running for over a year and it has no problems. Has a very sturdy power cord and removable cover in case you want to clean the impeller. The photo shows a clasp on the removable cover, when in fact, this clasp is not present on the actual product.

*Update* I have used many of these pumps in terrarium water features over the years. They never let me down. Great for creating streams and waterfalls in a terrarium. Never had clogging issues and plenty of power.
Review from the first one I tried: Mine has been running my terrarium waterfall and stream for several months now with no problems. See my photo above. I wish it were a little more quiet but I can’t complain. It has done really well with occasional dirt in the water as well. Can’t beat the price either.

basically i bought this to create a drip/rain system for my Chinese water dragon. right when i set it up and got everything going he went right under to get splashed by his new terrarium precipitation. This pump can have many uses in an aquarium or terrarium.
The one problem i ran into was gravity… lol well pretty much i ran 1/2 inch tubing up from the back left of my terrarium and ran it across his screen top which was fastened by fishing line. The pump did seem to have trouble overcoming the “hump” in the line but once it got going it kept going well. I think maybe this problem for me may have been the gauge of tubing i was using, maybe with a thicker tube the water would have more area to push out of and thus be a more powerful stream. havent tried yet but if it ever stops meeting my needs thats what i will try next.
Overall very good, cheaply priced product.

bought to replace a broken pump in a reptile waterfall drinking fountain. Easy to fit and does what it needs to.

I wish the disciption included the GPH Strength. The pump was a lot weaker than I expected and unfortunately I have no use for it. I have a “36 talk terrarium and this pump only got the water about “12 high. It’s very small and very quiet but not very strong. Also, there is NO adjustment settings on this unit. It only pumps at one speed.

I used this pump in an outdoor bird bath for over 2 years 24 x 7 through heat and ice. I think that’s pretty good for the price. UPDATE: 3rd year and I dropped it. Cracked the cover over the intake. Pump still works though. Someone complained that it was not adjustable but it is; though you have to take the cover off the intake to adjust it. This is not a powerful pump but will circulate water in a medium sized bird bath easily. UPDATE 2: 4 years and still running 24 x 7, 365. I never expected this kind of reliability. Also the power supply to this pump has a ground wire which you may prefer to the cheaper pumps without one who claim to be double insulated but appear cheaply made in China. In any event the startup power draw from this pump will not prematurely activate a GFCI which can and should be effectively used.

First off, The unit received is totally different from the one shown here, It has no adjustable flow. It barely has enough lift (head) to bring 1 cup a minute up one foot. Im using this pump to move some water up into a gravity filter and it does not have enough power to do that. It would be fine for a micro water fall for 1-3 gallon tank, and 3 gallon is pushing it. It also needs to be primed for it to start pumping. Air inside the impeller area will render this useless. Start it and shake it to get all the air out. If you are expecting a 200 Gallon Per Hour adjustable flow pump, this is not for you. Despite what the product name is, I would expect 2 gallons an hour at 1 ft head.
To put into perspective how little flow this thing has, with 3/8″ tubing. You can siphon the water out faster than this thing can pump back in.
Now lets be realistic, I wasn’t expecting much for $16. But I did expect it to be as pictured. It is quite and seems well built for what it is. Just know what your getting before you pull the trigger.

I have it hooked up to an outside fountain and it’s perfect!

Tried to build a waterfall with it, not enough power to pump water higher than 20cm
