This would be great if its not too low that the animal can come in contact with the heat bulb. Otherwise works great. Just make sure its up high out of reach.

I bought this to use with the BYB – 150W 110V Ceramic Infrared Heat Emitter. I used it to keep my pipes from freezing during the winter and it worked great. The clamp is SUPER strong. I work out regularly and squeezing this required more effort than the clamps at the gym used to hold weight on the bar.

It’s easy to angle the head of the lamp in all sorts of directions. The only sticking point is that the cord is fairly short, so you’ll most likely need an extension of some sort. However, it worked great outdoors and survived a snowstorm with no ill effects.

We bought this and heat lamp bulbs to go into our well house during severe cold weather to help keep the water line from freezing. It looks like it will work. The reason for four stars is the clamp is extremely strong making it difficult to open.

I like this lamp. I use it for a heat lamp in the chicken house. I was not sure about the cage as it does not cover all the light but it works great.

Works good no bulb included

Une fois l’ampoule insérée, tout est ok sauf que la pince est difficile à ouvrir… Heureusement, nous n’avons pas à la changer de place trop souvent! C’est une bonne lampe! Très satisfaite.

We bought this heater when we were going through a cold snap and could not keep keep our hummingbird heaters from freezing. It worked perfectly, the syrup stayed liquified and the birds survived!

A durable porcelain unit that is designed to handle the radiant heat emitted from heat lamps and brooder lamps. Thus the need for the porcelain socket to withstand high temperatures. I use these in my artesian wellhouse with 150 watt infrared heat lamps controlled by a thermostat to prevent my well from freezing up during Alaskan winters. There is no switch on these as they are designed to be controlled by thermostats in 90% of the uses anyway. The clamp makes it easy to position the light in the most favorable location and is very strong.

I’ve been using this product for two weeks inside my home for my chicks. I have it suspended over them on an portable closet hanger (think the bar you hang the cloths on that can be lowered). This works exactly for it’s intended use and I like the openness of it but still feel that it protects enough without being enclosed. The hanger clip is very strong and I also have the cord curled around the bar just in case the clip fails. I have used this with an “infared heat lamp” and also a red bulb. It works great for both uses. The ceramic base is perfect for this use. I would recommend this product to others and would buy it again.

The bulb is not included especially for the price, I know I should have just drive to the store and how a bulb and nice stand for the same price if not less. But I was being lazy, so I spent more money for a very long wait. And not even the he’s bulb included, just go to the store in person.

Did not come with bulb as it was supposed to. Used for boat engine compartment during freeze. Did it’s job.
