Again another wonderful story from Nicholas Sparks. What can I say but he never fails to deliver a wonderful story. I can’t wait for the film. Like all his books they have depth and meaning and you can’t stop reading until the end. I await another one with excitement.
I truly hope that His home in North Carolina hasn’t been affected by the hurricane and his town and people are ok.

This is only the second book by Mr. Sparks and it lifted my spirits as I read through the masterpiece. “The Notebook” was a wonderful book, but this was even better. What true talent in seeing the superb plot and character development ! For time well spent read this book.

This is a story of faith, love , tribulations . So based on the book of Job. Possibly a little predictable but well written and moving . The characters face very difficult times and you wonder how will the story end?? It’s hard to set aside.

The mood is light with youth and elderly who make the read truly worthwhile. Jasper is a sweet man who’s lived through what most could never sustain. He lives with the memories of his family, lost so cruelly to the point of questioning his faith. Tanner and Kaitlyn plus the children complete the story with the one word that hovers throughout the entire recount : “love”, that one most important word that many are often apt to forget. Worth the read.

This is a story of pain and blessing, heartbreak and love, devastating loss and great gain. I liked it! I’ve read all of Nicholas Sparks books. This was neither my favorite nor my least favorite.
As always Nicholas tugs your heart strings and sometimes crushes your heart a bit. Characters were well developed. I love how he encompasses the southern traditions of faith and mystery. I particularly liked Jasper. And the ending was good.
A few things I would have liked to see
1. Fleshing out the story of David and Monica
2. Some consequences for the Littleton boys…
3. A bit more time for Kaitlyn and Tanner to rekindle
But as I said I really enjoyed it… if you liked The Longest Ride it most reminds me of that previous work

Nicholas Sparks never disappoints. Wonderful characters, I reminder of God’s ultimate plan for us. Story kept me on the edge of my seat and engaged throughout the entire day. I didn’t want it to end and now tears in my eyes I am in awe of the world I live in – of how life is not always easy but so often, we are blessed in so many ways that are not necessarily expected.

As with all Nicholas Sparks’ books, the writing was so fluid. The book read like a charm, words flowing like music. I liked the story and how the characters came together. I know that for a lot of reader Bible references might have been too much, but to me as an Atheist, it was not a bother at all. It just gave me a different perspective and in fact made me even pause to think of how realistic that is to have a person who would actually live nowadays following those principles and beliefs. I did enjoy the book and have no regrets picking it up.
