As a guy who always loved gambling in general and also enjoyed going to Hastings Park in my hometown of Vancouver to watch the live horse racing I learned a lot about behind the scenes of the sport. Good entertaining read.

I would have liked a better version of the border crossing with more detail. To me , that was the climax of the story. Unlike Seabisquit, this story was about the money. I knew from the book cover that she won the 1988 K.D.
So I was surprised at the lack of drama from the author about the getaway.
