I purchased this book as a gift for my grand niece who is turning 6. The girl is already into reading story books so I thought she would be ready to explore the world through non fiction.
Her initial reaction has been very positive.

Big book, useful information. Son just turned 5, bought our first one from the collection when he was 3. He reads at a higher level, loves to learn about anything STEM. All of these first big books are perfect for him.

We love the National Geographic books. My toddler will flip through them in his own and loves to explore them together. I think they make great theme gifts with accessories like binoculars, telescope, etc. These books are informative and attractive.

As a mom I love when my son is gifted with books. He has so.many. toys. Most of which he could quite frankly care less about. He loooooves his books and I love that he gets so much use out of books. These books grow with children so they make wonderful gufts!

We bought the book for our daughter and read it several times. Great book to learn about science. Very helpful for the primary school. Whenever there is a new topic, she can talk about it and amazes her teacher with her vast knowledge. We have been reading all the National Geographic books for years ( I mean literally by years since I was a teenager and now with my daughter). Always happy with them. You can never go wrong with National Geographic.

This is great for 4+. It’s maybe a bit beyond 4 year olds and even 5 year olds, but it seems to keep their interest well enough. Some of the descriptions do have vocabulary words that require some more explanation, but that’s a good thing. The photography is excellent. With repetition, I think this whole Big Book of… series provides really great early exposure to a bit of deeper explanation of things.

I got this book for my 7 year old nephew. He is in first grade and really likes the science class he has at school. I like that this book covers different types of science and can get other books about topics he is interested in. He will need help reading some of the words but I know he will like the simple experiments in the book.

I received this set of books as a gift for my then-5 year old son. He loves Paw Patrol, as does my 2 year old daughter. They are a really cute set of mini board books in a pretty sturdy cardboard carry case that has a door that closes with velcro. It’s held up pretty well now that we’ve had it two years. At first, he paged through the books and just looked at the pictures, but as he was about halfway through Kindergarten (age 6), he began to use these books to practice his reading and they were great for that. Short sentences, manageable words telling a story that he was interested in. I’ve now purchased this set for my niece’s 3rd birthday after seeing her eyeing these books at our house and wanting to “borrow” them all the time. She is thrilled with having her own set of the books as well.
