I teach a beginner English as a New Language class for middle school students. My students speak little or no English upon arrival but I need to teach them things like plot, characters, theme, and other story components. These shorts are amazing at doing this. Instead of having to translate a text into multiple languages, and hoping that my students are literate in their home language (or that their home language has a written alphabet) I can show a short, teach a little vocabulary then bam, have a class “discussion” around it. Also all of these are kids appropriate for little ones. My two year old loves the “Piper” short.

EXTREMELY HAPPY!!!! Not only was this a REAL authentic, Disney disc, it was cheaper than all big box retailers!!! My daughter loves the Pixar short films volume 3 collection. I bought this same movie a few years back and recently lost the disc leaving me only the digital. I came across this exact same on on amazon and I was so happy. Came in the original packaging and still in the wrap. Brand new!

Years ago we got the first Pixar shorts disc. We have watched it many times, a classic.
We watched the #3 pixar the other day and it’s good, but not as good as the first.
I don’t think we will watch it again.

Per Pixar’s usual, video and sound are great. Good compilations since it’s already in my other titles as shorts. One thing I still hate is that one has to play each short film. Why not have a Play All option (or did I not see it)?

I’m confused by the review that states these shorts aren’t appropriate. I love these shorts for my children; age 2 & 5, for when we don’t have time for a long movie. They are also great for my middle school students as a reward or even for studying plot elements.
This collection includes:
1. Bao: a beautiful story of a mother’s love, and how no matter what we will always view our children as our babies (or in this case, a “little dumpling”.
2. Lou: adorable “lost and found” story about kindness and sharing
3. Piper: a cute baby bird learns a unique way to find food
4. Lava: Two volcano’s who struggle to find “Lava” (love), but end up together in the end
5. Sanjay’s Super Team: a first-generation Indian-American boy whose love for western pop culture conflicts with his father’s Indian traditions.
6. Riley’s First Date: mainly from Riley’s dad’s point of view regarding Riley’s “boy” friend
7. The Radiator Springs 500 1/2: The only short I didn’t care for, but I’m just not a “Cars” fan
8. Party Central: hilarious Monsters Inc “OK” house party.
9. The Blue Umbrella: cute story where everything in the city is “alive” and helps in aiding an umbrella get back to his red umbrella “love interest”.
10. The Legend of Mor’Du: features the witch from “Brave”
11. Partysaurus Rex: cute Toy Story short about Rex learning to loosen up a little bit!

A great collection of Pixar’s most recent shorts for families and Pixar fans! My favorites are Bao, Lou, Legend of Mordu, Party Central, Partysaurus Rex, and Sanjay’s Super Team. Arrived in great condition. Had a little scare of the Sound on the Bao making of not working. But after a cleaning it worked great. Kinda wish there was a play all button, but all in all a really great buy!
