I remember the original Quake on the PC and it was great fun to play this game and see how far the series has come. A great game with great weapons, environments, and enemies.

Great quality for a used game. Had no issues and played it through almost twice in two weeks.

Most people would have given this maybe two stars. I’ll admit, some of the aspects of this game are terrible. There is no real story, the graphics are not up to par, and the levels overall feel familiar and generic. But there were some aspects of the game that made me give it 4 stars. First of all, the AI was not bad, considering when this game was really made. If you hide, the enemies will move up, but will hide nearby to wait for you to pop out thinking the ghost is clear. Some of the stronger enemies were also particularly challenging and hard to get around. Another part of the game I liked were the weapons. There is a wide variety of weapons at your disposal, ranging from the typical shotgun and assault rifle to a dark matter gun (creates a black hole that kills anything in its path). I enjoyed playing through the game, but I’m not sure if I would do it again. Overall, the game wasn’t terrible, but it certainly wouldn’t win any awards in my book, or anyone elses. I haven’t played it since I bought it about 5 months ago. If you want an odd, new game to play for 10-15 dollars, go for it; otherwise I would not recommend it. But, if you are one of those people who just so happened to love Doom, I would recommend this.

Description did not mention that this was the 2012 reissue, the major difference being that it does not come with the “Making of” DVD that contains the Xbox 360-compatible version of Quake 2. As this disk was the impetus for my order, this was extremely disappointing.

Oh, and Quake 4 is mediocre. Unispired gameplay and this reissue does not fix the poor performance and slowdown. A poor use of 20 dollars.

This game is an absolute blast to play. Even though it is an “older” game for the Xbox 360, I have enjoyed it. It is not an easy game, but if you want a challenge, this is a great game.

I’m pretty late to the party when it comes to playing The quake series it’s performance on an Xbox 360 isn’t the greatest but it’s not so bad that you can’t find entertainment and enjoyment in it it’s very fun and has interesting lore I definitely recommend it to anyone who like sci-fi FPS shooters and core lol

There is a bug in this version of Quake 4 which prevents me from proceeding, so I don’t recommend it.
