If you ever wanted to relive the feeling you had when you were young and played Sonic for the first time or want to get a kid into playing an amazing game buy this. It’s incredible. All of the fun of he original sonic with familiar levels throw in but remixed so it doesn’t feel stale. 4 playable characters, in person multiplayer. Beautiful pixel graphics, rad soundtrack, and interesting and new mechanics.
I was expecting a fun trip down memory lane. I got a BLAST from the past. Extremely enjoyable experience. The best of new and old!!!

I honestly thought this was a new Sonic Mania game and in case you’re wondering that too, its not. This is just a physical release of the used to be digital only game, with the new added DLC they made for it (hence the “+”). The new characters are nice, and so is the new modes, I just wish the competitive mode had more stages from the campaign, they could of made more levels since they didn’t use some stages. all in all I wanted this game physically so I’m not really upset about it, plus I technically get the DLC for free and I also get a really nice art book. so overall its good.
If you want a physical edition of this game (or you like art books), get this, if you just want to buy the new DLC then go on the eshop. It’s only $6.

I like sonic’s design and a bunch of the fanart for him, and have played a few of the 3d games. I saw the hype that people were giving this and decided to try it out.
The art style is REALLY nice. The worlds all look cool. I’m not very good at sonic though, i just cant really control him with finesse at high speeds, so im stuck on stardust speedway, lol.

If you are at all nostalgic for old 90’s side scrollers then this it. Starting right with the opening sequence with classic music remixed you know your in for a great game. Mixing things up letting you run either Sonic/Tails/Knuckles is great as they each have their own play style and abilities to tackle different challenges you’ll face. The sphere mini-games however gave me anxiety through the roof, otherwise it was a great game.

If you haven’t bought Sonic Mania yet since last year your wait will truly be worth it now with this physical version. For $30 it’s really a steal. Sega and the Christian Whitehead team are very passionate about delivering quality content at a reasonably affordable price and here they’ve done it again. Excellent packaging as marketed, a nostalgic reverse sleeve Sega Genesis cover and a 32-page art book that illustrates nearly all of Sonic Mania’s primary development. It’s a super nice addition to the package and only shows more how much the developers cared about this game and its audience. I would recommend this to both newcomers and if you already bought the game digitally, there is so much satisfaction to be had with this physical release. The 32-page artbook on its own makes it a must-have, especially to collectors. So much appreciation and went into making this and it be a shame to not own this as a hardcore gamer or longtime Sonic fan.

Además, la versión “Plus” incluye a 2 personajes adicionales que han sido revividos, con sus propios movimientos e historia.
Un grandioso juego que no puedes dejar pasar, seas o no fan de Sonic Erizo y compañÃa.

What Christian Whitehead and his team managed to do with this title managed to finally equal (and even improve) over what made Sonic successful at one point. The gameplay is beautiful, the sprite animation is mesmerizing, and Tee Lopes soundtrack is one for the ages. In a sea of subpar and dubious entries, Sonic Mania finally showed what made the blue character a 90s icon.

A great deal for anyone with a Switch, you get the game, a nice little concept art book, a reversible Genesis style slip cover for the Switch game, a cardboard cover that encases the game case and book, and a coupon for the Sega online merchandise store. A lot of value for only $30 dollars.
Also, I noticed on the top back of the book, there was morse code, and the pattern is this:

Para empezar si eres fan de Sega y Sonic y no has jugado este videojuego, debes comprarlo ya, un gran tÃtulo de sonic, el mejor en los últimos años, un homenaje al pasado, bueno y entretenido.
Si por otro lado no sabes quién es Sonic, y nunca has jugado un videjuego, fue durante los 90’s el rival de mario en la época de 16bits, es unas plataformas 2d de alta velocidad, pero con muchos secretos y mucho que hacer además de ser muy rejugables y entretenidos.
Esta nueva versión de Sonic manÃa (el año pasado se lanzó solo digital) por 5 dólares lo puedes actualizar si lo tienes digital, pero esta es una edición fÃsica muy completa, que incluye un pequeño libro de arte del juego, una portada reversible que es un homenaje a Sega génesis, esta nueva versión incluye 2 personajes, nuevos minijuegos y modos de juego que da más vida al tÃtulo, si quieres un tÃtulo divertido (si es algo corto) pero muy rejugable, y que se ve muy bien en la pantalla de switch, es tu compra. Ampliamente recomendado, niveles muy bien elaborados y entretenidos.

An extremely charming game. This is probably the pinnacle of 2D Sonic games. This also comes off as a love letter to the Genesis and 16-bit gaming in general. Be warned–this game can get tough as nails. But it is tons of fun and keeps gameplay fresh by interjecting special stages, pinball, quasi 3D stages, etc. The options are extensive, the different playable characters should have something for everyone, and it looks and plays fantastic on my Nintendo Switch.
The packaging is also quite delightful. It comes in a holo foil slip case, includes an art book with some hidden messages and secrets, and the box art for the Switch cartridge case includes a reverse side designed like a classic Sega genesis cover. The text on this cover is full of 90’s vocabulary and fun references.
For only $30, this is an excellent physical game package for the Switch. And likely one of the best side scrollers on the Switch, and easily the best Sonic game in quite a while.
I applaud Sega for this endeavor. My eyes are finally on them once again.

This is the best fan made game I have ever played. Half the time I forget I’m not playing a cannon Sonic game. The levels are absolutely stunning! The colors are crisp and vibrant! They have kept so close to the original but tweaked it just enough to feel like something new! You can tell this game was made with love for the franchise! Time and effort has been put into every aspect of this game! If you liked the Sonic franchise at all, you will truly enjoy this callback to the Sonic we remember! The art book is a nice touch, nothing to write home about. I was actually expecting it to be bigger or thicker, but for no extra cost, its a nice touch. The holographic box art is one of my favorite things about this release. I’m glad I got the physical copy!
