Mailing package was unharmed but the product was damaged. Very disappointed about receiving my Christmas gift this way.
Amazon Customer –
I didn’t receive the video game.

My first introduction was to Fallout 3 which I thoroughly enjoyed. Had the Game of the Year version of that one. Then came the Game of the Year Version of Fallout: New Vegas, which was also a lot of fun. Now we have Fallout 4 that is set in the Boston Area. They have added new elements in that you have settlements that you can build in and populate. Personally, I would get lost in there building and stuff. Really lets you get creative. The DLCs are very good, but Far Harbor could almost be a stand alone game. It is that big and with a lot to do. There are plenty of side quests and I think I opened up 4 Settlements there. Although I don’t recommend cheating the game, you can go in and make a change that will allow you to build to your hearts content as long as you have the materials. I spend a lot of time trying to get materials. There is a good story and of course Liberty Prime from FO 3 is back and you have to get that working, if you work for the Brotherhood of steel There are multiple factions that you can go with. I found myself working with all of them at one point. I finally just went with the Brotherhood of Steel ( I was with them in FO 3 & FO New Vegas as well ) and the Minutemen. Good story, lots to do and entertaining. I am playing it on a PC in HD.

I bought this years ago and gave it away just last year to a friend who just started to play this awesome game. Great Guide Book

Not the best fallout ever, but it’s very good. If you want the full experience, get your hand on New Vegas, or fallout 3 first.
Very long and entertaining gameplay. This thing will keep you busy for days with just the main questline alone, and after that theirs endless sidequests, and DLCs to play through.
Always been a big fan or fallout because of the lore behind it, and all the people you talk too, and stories you get too experience. Fallout four doesn’t disappoint.
That being said their are some extreamly annoying parts… like Preston Garvey, and his endless save the settlement quests. Or the repetitive combat dialogue.
And power armor being so easy to attain made the game super easy. They literally give you a set on the first real quest chain, but at least until you find a few fusion cores you can’t use it full time.
Anyway, if your looking for a heck of a post-apocalyptic gaming experience, with tons of interesting places to go, and things too do, this is your game.

I’ve copied and pasted someone else’s review here that also sums up my problem following this purchase:
“This game, is the original Fallout 4, that is supposed to come with some codes to the DLC’s on Steam. However, there were no codes included for the original game or DLC’s. It was packaged with what appeared to be a mismatched interior booklet. Like it was part of a larger collectible set or something at some point. In any case, this is not usable without the codes — which ARE NOT included. You are not gaining anything by purchasing a hard copy retail disk. At least not this one. A major disappointment as it was intended as a gift what was ultimately unusable.”
Chuck12010 –
I have no complaints about the game. It’s excellent.
But I regret my choice to buy a physical copy. The disc doesn’t even contain the game, but…the software for Steam. And in my case, they forgot to include an activation code – making it effectively useless.
After weeks in contact with Bethesda, they eventually provided me a code, so it’s now playable. But the whole experience was a waste of time.
This was a learning experience for me. Because the “physical copy” was priced the same as a download on Steam, I thought, “Why not buy the game on disc?” But nothing in my gaming experience prepared me for the notion of purchasing a game in a box, that’s not actually a game in a box.
Justin Wagner –
I bought it a month ago, but haven’t played much. I’m a sniper at level 20. There’s a lot to like. For one thing, it’s Fallout and I’ve loved every game in the franchise since the beginning, warts and all. Fallout 4 seems to be HUGE, with no end of locations, weapons, character builds and quests. So far, unfortunately, I see two real aggravations.
First, the interface is clunky and counter-intuitive. For example, crafting is an endless process of choosing options, backing up, scrolling, mouse clicking, keyboard commands, high-lighting and hoping. I was at level ten or twelve before I realized how to view all the possible perks when leveling up – not by scrolling, but by moving the cursor to the bottom of the screen! Almost every time I play, I have to save game and go online to find out how to do the simplest things – like turn off the dang radio – that should be obvious and easy to do.
The biggest annoyance, by far, is the ***LONG*** loading times. It feels like I spend as much time waiting as I do playing. Going to Diamond City for ammo? Take the dog for a walk. Saving your game? Bring lunch. Entering the subway? Grow a beard while you wait. If I wasn’t such a fan of Fallout games and enjoyed them so much for twenty years, I would have thrown Fallout 4 out the window.
My vote? There’s more to like than there is to hate. Buy the game.

One of my all time favourite games, had it on Xbox, but wanted a copy to play on my pc as there are more mods on pc for this great game.
Ian Corbiere –
A great game if only Fallout 76 was a multiplayer version of this.
I own it already, bought for a friend.
Thierry Piron –
Arrived ahead of schedule and exactly what I ordered. Outstanding!
