I loved this game. I ordered this game for download. I went to Origin to download the game. Origin is going away, so I went to EA to play this game. EA said I don’t own this game, but they would be happy to sell me this game through their website. I call BS.
No instructions on how to be able to play this game.
This BS is why from now on I will only go with a physical DVD game.
Don’t fall for this scam like I did.

I have 4 computers at home. I keep two with Windows 7 for two reasons:
1. I still like the autonomy and network sharing.
2. Windows 10 would not play my favorite game of all time: Command & Conquer Zero Hour.
I purchased and downloaded C & C Remastered onto my Windows 10 laptop and can now die happy, knowing that I can still waste hours of my life with my favorite game. YES, my wife is not as thrilled . . . but I am overjoyed. It may not be able to use the mods, but that’s secondary.

Do Not like that one has to have EA account and be connected to their site; collecting analytics on uses..

It took about 5 hours to download. It took me abit of researching how to even get it to download. But once it is installed, it starts out in the nastiest resolution, something from the 90s, lol. But that is a joke. After a bit it asks you to hit the space bar to go to super graphics and WOW! It is looks a lot better than I imagined. The best thing though, it doesn’t crash. I have the original C&C, C&C gold as well. They worked for a while, but after Win8.1 updates, they started crashing after only a minute or so, or maybe 30 mins later into a game. Just random crashes. The Remastered I played non-stop for a few hours, the first 7 missions of the GDI campaign, no issues at all. It sounds really good too. I love their remade music. It also comes with many more options, skirmish is a much welcomed thing. I also played the RED ALERT, about 5 or so missions. Looks great, and same report….just nice to have a stable version of the game.

This is the original game in every way. They even let you switch back and forth between cleaner graphics and the original graphics, which I don’t find particularly useful. Also, the gameplay itself is JUST LIKE the original, meaning slow, pondering, and glitchy. I expected with remastering that some of the glitches in the gameplay might be fixed, but that is not the case. Harvesters still move incredibly slow, units do not respond as quickly as you would expect, and building anything takes a ridiculously long time. Just like the original. It can be fun, but not like later versions of the game, such as Generals and Zero Hour. I hope they remaster those, and add some mods.

Yes, It works with Windows 10, and Yes it still rocks. When you purchase this product, all you will receive, is a Product Code # in an E-mail. You then have to go to E. A. Games, download the APP / PC Program. Start an account, then you can download the game with your product code #.
The Remastered Collection pack comes with the original Command & Conquer, AND C&C Red Alert.
The upgraded graphics are better and cleaner than the original (But that may be due to upgrades in monitors and screen bit size, now?) Either way its the same game we played years ago!

From EA games webpage I found this after paying for the game and was unable to download–Ripoff Some of our classic games cannot be redeemed on the EA app or Origin and can only be played if you still have the game disc. Those games include, but are not limited to:
The Sims (1)
The Sims 2
Battlefield 1942
Battlefield Vietnam
Command & Conquer
Medal of Honor
Crysis

Worked well and update runs on my more modern computer just fine. Need to create an “Origin” account and then log on to it to play the game. I’d prefer not having to do so but that is the way games are sold these days. Can play this game in easy mode, standard or difficult – your choice. Video resolution is decent.
