An amazing game and great entry on the franchise.
The story is very dramatic and bombastic, the script is great, new and returning characters are developed and feel very real, in the ways you can interact with them, even romance some of them. and the graphics are amazing, even a couple of years after it’s release.
Gameplay feels like a mix between the past 2 games, very fast paced but you need to think things through.
The GOTY edition includes every dlc, they are interesting to say the least, and only one of them it’s really important to the story, it’s sort of like a Epilogue to the game, but all of them add a chunk of hours of gameplay to an already complete and long game.

Before getting this, I’d already bought the normal edition of this game. But since it is banned in India, I could not get the benefit of enjoying the barred DLCs until now. Amazing the amazing expansion that the Trespasser is. I’m gonna replay the whole game again just for the sake of it. Although the game and the DLCs is NTSC, one need not worry since PS4 games are not region locked and this one comes with the extra benefits of the NTSC region DLCs as well. Although one might not a US region PSN account, but one can easily make a new US account.

Yeah the dlc code was expired over a year ago and there was no indication of this

Even though it’s very much different than Dragon Age Origins, I still love this game.
Purchased on PS4 just for the convenience of my PS4 being in the bedroom and I rather recline on the bed while playing on a control pad (some games I do prefer PC).
Nonetheless, the games;
+ Graphics, sound and and controls are very nice and simple.
+ Nice arraignment of characters
+ Creating a character you’ll have a ton of options both with the appearance and the way you choose to fight
– Story is horrid, absolutely hard to follow (much worse than Origins), I often time’s find myself running in circles exploring and trying to close rifts
– The menu is tedious and completely over complicated. It takes too many steps to accomplish such a small task
– I don’t care for the board too much

This is my first DA game that I’ve ever played, and I’ve gotta say – I love it. I’ve played through it a couple times as different races and genders, just so I could play through the interpersonal aspects and see the differences – and the romance options are fun too! I wish you could do more with your inner circle of peeps, but with what’s available to do, it’s still a lot of fun.
The gameplay, while occasionally glitchy, is fun and easy to use. The graphics, especially considering the release date, are pretty fantastic, even if the character movement comes across as somewhat… awkwardly stiff, but that’s more amusing than annoying anyway. I think the biggest thing I wish was included was bigger consequences, I guess. Like, if you do or say something that ‘disappoints’ one of your buddies, there’s no downfall from that, and there’s no way to know exactly how much or little all of the peeps in your inner circle like you – it makes it seem like that should be a possibility, what with all the “Cassandra approves/disapproves/Greatly Disapproves” nonsense. But maybe that’ll be different in the next game. Regardless, it’s still a fun game to play.
You can waste so many hours of your nonexistent life on this game, and not regret it one bit. I’d recommend playing this game outside of your comfort zone – like, if you always play a female Human warrior, try playing a male Dwarven mage, just to spice it up a bit. Trust me, it’s all good times, no matter who or how you play.

Got the GotY edition for PS4 when we switched from XBox 360 (Deluxe DA:I with no DLC, just the Deluxe item pack) to PS4 (which has more DLC options than XBox 360 had). Obviously we would have been happier to have been able to get all the DLCs for 360, but the newer gen version of DA:I is so much prettier and runs more smoothly (the 360 version crashed too often for my tastes). So given that we had to buy the game all over again when we switched consoles and wanted access to more of the DLCs, the GotY edition was a good deal (I think we figured out how much all the DLCs we wanted would have cost and the GotY edition was about the same price at that time). Sort of like a free graphics upgrade with the purchase of a new console, I guess?
Note: The disc in the box is just the base game. All the additional content requires you to connect your console to the internet to download all the “included” DLCs and item packs, though you don’t need Playstation Plus or anything like that to be able to access it, it’s just a download. Other than the occasional patch that also wants you to be online to download it, though, the game is playable offline after you’ve downloaded the content.

So happy I spent the extra for the add ons!, makes the play through so nuanced
Play together stay together!

1. DLC packs are not included in the disc. Works as regular version.
2. DLC code cannot be redeemed for PSN India account.
3. DLC code given in a leaflet inside with an expiry date of October 2017
4. Game is superb (5 stars rating). But you have to live with the regular version for Indian accounts. Forget about the DLC on Indian account. You need to play the DLC packs to fully unlock the story.

Tons of hours of gameplay, one of my favorite games in a long time.

Dragon Age: Inquisition is one of BioWare’s best games. Engaging characters, a beautiful world with a rich backstory, fun, fast-paced gameplay, and the current-gen systems run it beautifully, especially the Playstation 4.
HOWEVER. If you buy this game, I strongly urge you NOT to buy a physical copy of the Game of the Year edition.
EA does not include on-disc DLC for it, so Jaws of Hakkon, the Descent, Trespasser, or the Deluxe Edition, Spoils of the Avvar, and Spoils of the Qunari DLC must all be accessed from online marketplaces, via a code that comes packaged with the game. The problem is, since this game was released at the end of 2014, most, if not all, of the codes have already been redeemed as of the time of this review, thereby making it necessary to purchase the DLC separately even if you shell out the extra money for the GOTY edition.
I just spent the last twelve hours on multiple customer support chatlines — EA, the PSN, and Amazon itself — and they all told me the same thing: Since the code that came packaged with my supposedly-new game had already been used, I would still have to purchase the DLC separately. It’s impossible to adequately express how cheated I feel right now.
Spare yourself the hassle; if you want this game, and it IS an excellent game with great DLC, I urge you to buy a digital copy for the complete experience, without the hassle that comes with expired or already-used codes.
