Manuel Jackman –
I’ve bought several parts from doorman, they have a good value product and this thermostat housing fit perfectly, worked great, fixed the problem
Amazon Customer –
Great product no issues
Whitedus10 –
Quick and easy swap with the faulty factory one, but I do notice this one causes the engine to run a little hotter when under a load, it seems a little lazy opening up the thermostat.
Ken –
I have a 2015 Yukon that would intermittently show no reading on the temperature gauge, causing the fan to go into limp home mode, running at super high speed, even when the truck was off. The computer thinks the car may be overheating, so it turns the fan into what sounds like a jet turbine! The temperature only got about a quarter of the way up when it was showing a reading, indicating it was going bad. These trucks typically run at 210 with the needle straight up no matter what the conditions. Grabbed a new temp sensor too, since I had over 120,000 miles on it. Part was an exact fit, simple to replace and fixed the problem. Any Dorman part I’ve ever gotten has been great, and this one is no exception.

2014 Silverado, 5.3L. Direct replacement. STUPID easy to install! It took awhile for it to arrive, but that’s always been the case with Dorman products. This part, coupled with the coolant temperature sensor, fixed my no heat, no A/C problem, and made my electric cooling fan function properly.
Raymond Cusamano –
Outstanding, sturdy beefy construction. Took the old one off, and this part went on with no trouble. If the cooling fans are staying on even after you shut your engine off, this is probably the solution. Fixed mine immediately.
Ken Ray –
Thermostat looks and functions the same as original. Kinda messy to change it but otherwise easy installation.
Mark Elliott –
I bought the sensor also just to be prudent. Solved the issue. Easy to do on my own.
Aaron Kloss –
Fits my 2017 Silverado 1500 with the 5.3L perfectly. No leaks, warms up as it should now.
GMCranch –
OEM fit/finish/operation for half the price, itโs a no brainer!
William Bailey –
Product was great quality and easy to install, very good value for the money, works perfectly
