Determining whether this would fit my 2022 Tacoma TRD Sport Access Cab was a little tricky. Fits perfect! Between removing the stock exhaust and installing this unit took less than 45 minutes. Love the throatier exhaust notes without being obnoxious. Truck feels and definitely sounds sportier/peppier overall. Very nice purchase.

The system was packaged well and there was no damage in shipping. The problem that I had installing was the muffler output. At some point during manufacturing the rear pipe connection must have been squeezed because the pipe was almost 1/4 inch out of round, which made it impossible to install the tailpipe without taking the muffler back off of the truck and correcting the issue. I ended up heating it with a torch and then lightly tapping it with a hammer until I was able to get it ’round’ enough to work with the tailpipe section.
For a person with limited tools and knowhow this could have stopped them in their tracks.
Instead of a quick 30-40 minute install it took over an hour having to fix their mistake.
For a $800 system Borla should be checking the part, before packaging. Just looking at it with the naked eye you could see it was out of round.

Exhaust was not as loud as I was anticipating or hoping for. More audible would have been nice, but still sounds nicer than stock. Had some trouble inserting the pipe sections together as the pipe was barely large enough to fit the other section of pipe. I need to use a hammer to make the cross section smaller. Material quality is good and the long 4″ tip looks pretty beefy!

I was looking for an exhaust that was not too loud. I can’t stand loud “brappy” trucks around town. This exhaust is perfect for what I was looking for. At idle and highway speeds you can barely tell a difference. I have a 6 speed so between 2-4.5 RPM it puts out a nice, deep, growl noise. Very happy with this exhaust overall. MPG hasn’t changed at all. Still averaging my lovely 17.5 MPG. Would recommend this exhaust to anyone who wants a little more noise and doesn’t want it too loud or annoying.

Very easy install. I did not raise the truck and used a jack stand to support the old exhaust when I was removing it. I had to maneuver each piece by placing one hand on each piece to be connected. The tail piece was the most difficult to connect. I placed it in the hangers before trying to connect to prevent the chrome tip from being scratched. I think this last piece would of connected easier if I would of attached the hangers last. Looks good, sounds good. I am happy with the purchase. It took less than an hour from start to finish for the install.

Absolutely perfect! I didn’t expect it to be this much louder based on others. I can’t wait to hit the throttle in tunnels or anywhere now. No drone, high quality, just superb product. Windows up or down is a welcome sound. Comes with a nice hat btw.

Everything was great until I found that the inlet pipe on the muffler was bent out of shape. It wasn’t damaged in shipping but was a manufacturing defect. After rounding the pipe back out the install was quick and done without having to jack up the Tacoma. The exhaust note is just what I wanted, a little deeper without being annoying or suffering from highway drone.
