This filter was installed on a 2014 Escape 1.6L. Easy to install, my wife and I could tell that the turbo spooled up faster and has less lag. Noticed about a 1-2 MPG increase over the stock paper filter.

Perfect fitting in my 2016 Ford Focus ST

This was 10 minute install. Once i figured the trick to install air filters. To replace the filter you do it on warm engine. So the plastic enclosure is playable. Seat the filter ring onto the front of the case flange. Then you can bend the back part to fit the filter onto the back lip. When you are facing the front of the car. The top cover has a lip on the flange that must go into the inside of the filter enclosure. That will allow you to put the screw in the top right in. Turn the screw a couple of turns to seat it. Then you and put in the rest of the screws. If you dont do it this way you will have a heck of time getting it together and only be able to put 3 of the 4 screws. Crappy designed enclosure. Now for the review of the AEM filter. After install it and making sure the cover is completely on. I started the car. You can hear the difference in the sound. The engine is not fighting to get enough air. Once behind the wheel and driving I noticed it ran smoother. Acceleration was smoother and it feel like there is more power. The engine no longer surges, because it is getting enough air. The paper filter that was in the car before was only 2 weeks old. As far as the gas mileage increase only time will tell. I will right another review after a month.

I honestly don’t have much to say here.
I bought this as a replacement for the green filter on my 2015 Ford Focus ST because I got tired of having to clean and re-oil my filter.
I didn’t have any installation issues and I run it with the airbox lid remove without any problems.
It filters air. lol
Great replacement filter, no noticeable horsepower or torque gain but what did you expect with just a filter?
Highly recommended for someone looking to replace their OEM filter for a dryflow (non-oiled) aftermarket air filter.

First off I had no idea how big the Ford Focus air filter was. This is not a bad thing but wow bigger than my Wife van and my BMW. The car itself learns as you drive so once it learned that there was more airflow it took advantage of that. You won’t see MPG gains and if you do you might just be driving differently. On the other hand, you will notice performance gains and the sound of the car going does sound different. Nothing major but enough to notice there is something new going on. I would say the filter gives the car a boost for pretty cheap so definitely buy it. Worth ever penny and it last forever so why not. The only complaint is that there is not one available for my wife’s 2012 Chrysler Town and Country.

This is the second one that I have ordered…1 for my 13 Ford Escape 2.0T and one for my /3 Focus ST 2.0T. They fit great, are easy to clean, and flow way better than the OEM. Recommended.

It was time for an air filter on my Focus RS at 20,000 miles considering all the CA fires and all. I was going to buy a Cobb or Green as I heard they would improve the induction noise at the intake, but then realized how annoying it is to oil filters. The AEM does what I need it to: filter dirt and be re usable.
5 minute install: need 7mm socket with extension
Seat it in there well and close the box up
NOTE: no difference to induction noise whatsoever. Also no noticeable power difference. Aftermarket filters are marketed as adding 5hp. You will not notice 5hp on 350hp car.

I have a 2017 Focus RS. I was told my stock air filter was “dirty.” This is up for for debate, but I decided to get a stock filter. For some reason, it did not fit. This new AEM seemed to be about the same size. I worked it in (not too much muscle) and it fit it nicely. Not sure about performance boosts and all of that.
So far, it seems good. No “whistling noise” or anything like that. I did notice my MPG is getting better, yet my stand of driving.
I like this filter, and AEM is a good brand to get, in my opinion.

I have a Mountune intake and filter and needed a second filter to rotate that out. I opted for this no oil version which I used this brand in the past and this popped in like OEM in the stock grooves. No issues here!
