I used to use the “orange can of death” years ago, but switched to Mobil in the last 10 years or so. When starting my vehicle with the cheaper “orange can,” I could hear the cam hitting the valves during the first several seconds, and then they would quiet down. With Mobil, I don’t hear any knocking noise on start-up. The ratings of this filter are always in the top 5 or so. The price from this seller is also quite fair. I would definitely recommend.

We had a Toyota Sienna that had an oil gelation problem despite having the car regularly serviced by Toyota. After some persistence on our part Toyota rebuilt the engine on our car (which only had 38,000) miles on it. Toyota said they would only pay for this once and that we needed to switch to using synthetic oil.
In researching this online and some well respected mechanics we concluded that we would also use Mobile 1 filters. These filters are designed to filter out a higher percentage of particles than factory or other mainstream 3rd party filters.
We have been using these filters on both of our cars with Mobil 1 fully synthetic oil ever since. Our cars now have in excess of 130,000 miles with no issues.

My belief is that these oil filters were either refurbished or had been sitting around for a very long time. Both filters came with a brownish tar-like substance on top of the filter which I was not able to completely remove and smelled of burnt motor oil. I do A LOT of oil changes and always check the filters. I will stick to purchasing my filters at the local automotive store, I’ve never had any issues with the ones there!

Ordered filters 2 day free shipping. Arrived on time and in perfect condition. Filters are heaver then other filters (fram, purolator, etc). Wonderful material of construction quality. Internals have spring loaded backflow preventer and nicely designed filter media and supports. I’ve used so far fram 9688, microguard to date. In my opinion there is no comparison to Mobil extended guard.
Good price for money. I have 06 hyundai sonata 4 cylinder. Would highly recommend filters.

These filter so well that some engines, like my most recent 2009 Hyundai Elantra need a filter with better flow characteristics. With this filter I get lifter noise when first starting in colder weather. Went back to real Hyundai filters and lifter noise immediately stopped.

This filter is slightly smaller than the factory Honda filter, so make sure your oil filter wrench will work. Otherwise, no issues and fit and finish is good.

Seller ‘Gifts Universe’ is not selling the original M1-104, they are selling the M1-104A. They are interchangable, but not identical. If you are looking for the older style filter, be sure to ASK the seller before assuming they will ship you the correct item.

This is a great oil filter! It has a very high-quality construction, in every aspect. From the coil-spring bypass valve, to the silicone anti-drainback valve, to the O-ring style seal, this filter is made with the highest standards of materials and design. I’ve done quite a lot of research, and considering the quality of its construction, the fact that it’s readily available, and it’s not obscenely expensive, I believe it’s the best filter on the market. As long as they keep making this filter to these high standards, and I can find it locally, I won’t even consider anything else.
Most filters are made using a cheap leaf-spring bypass valve, a rubber anti-drainback valve, and a tubular cross-section type of seal. That type of construction isn’t necessarily a bad thing, per se… but it’s definitely inferior.
