Purolator “BOSS” one of the top “Premium” filters on the market… filters down to a low micron level, and the price isn’t outrageous. I take an old hard drive magnet, and place it on the filter, for added protection….the neodymium magnet stops ultra tiny metal particles.

The Purolator PL10111 is a great filter! I have used countless Purolator filters for many years and have never had an issue. However, please beware of the listed “seller” as I recently received a PL10111 from Blondee Wholesale with a manufacturer date stamp of December 2012! The filter I received is the older “grippy yellow” design, rather than the updated blue finish like what is shown on the Amazon product page. While I like the filter, I will not be taking chances with a filter that has sat on a warehouse shelf for 10 years! If need be, I will pay more for a truly new product available from a local retailer.

Box was damaged coming from Purelator/manufacture. This time filter seemed undamaged. 27gm of dirt vs what was on there probably half that or less since cheap filter. I’m sure 04 Silverado 4.3L will be much happier. Follow directions on inside flap. Fill with clean oil & tighten past hand tight 3/4-1 full turn. Old one seemed a little loose.

Ich kaufe diesen Ölfilter eigentlich nur wegen der Optik. Es passt halt gut zum OPC-blau und er hat Glitzerlack (ganz wichtig!). Qualität ist sehr gut, Purolator gehört zur deutschen Firma MANN+HUMMEL.
Der Ölfilter sollte auch an den meisten anderen Opel Modellen passen, er hat ein M18 Gewinde.
