I installed it on my 2008 Silverado 2500 4wd, Item fits as described. I recommend you visit the manufacturer’s website because Amazon’s fitment is not accurate. The ease of installation depends on your mechanical ability kind of tools you have. I suggest you view a YouTube video so you know what to expect.

Thought they were okay when I first installed them. Less than 6 months later and under 15000km my rear pads ar worn down so bad they’re grinding and need to be replaced and the fronts are on their way out in probably a week. Just don’t waste your money or time changing your brakes every 6 months. 10/10 won’t be buying them again.

Installed on a 2010 duramax along with new discs. Performance is great, better than expected. I put high temp rtv on the backs of the pads to keep them from rattling like these so often do, so far so good. The only issue I have is that the clips make the install difficult and needed some grinding – but chances are if you’re changing your own brakes on a truck you can probably handle that. Not really the pads fault…

Wear tab made it difficult to get them in place, I had to beat it flat and it was still very tight. This is my second set of PowerStop Z36 for the rear of my 2500 truck towing about 6k for an overall combined weight of 13,500. Probably towed with this setup for 25k of the 60k I put on them. Break in procedure process isn’t fun but not difficult either. You’ll need to find an empty road and engine brake as much as you can before you get on them. Once they’re broken in properly they’re AMAZING for stopping quickly with a heavy load. I recommend the drilled and slotted rotors as well.

Powerstop extreme brakes are truly outstanding. I replaced my original brakes on a 2006 GMC Sierra 2500HD Duramax over 11 years ago and I have only gone through half the brake pad life. Only reason I am replacing them now is because a tire company said they needed to be replaced. Only complaint is the seller claims they are for the front and rear. 785 is for the rear ONLY. 784 is for the front. So I should have done my research first on the correct part numbers.

These brakes pair with their drill and slotted rotors made a huge difference on my 2003 LS silverado 2wd. I just had to replace my breaks after 1 1/2 of heavy use. Even if you don’t tow, these are worth spending and having. The break in period PLEASE make you follow the instructions. If you don’t you will prematurely wear the brakes. I highly recommend. I went from taking a second to stop to almost going in on a nose dive with my truck. I have a 2005 silverado as well, and I will get these brake pads and rotors on it too. Yes they are pricey and do wear a bit quicker (not to mention they do create a bit more brake dust than usual but this could be me due to aggressive driving and heavy usage of the brakes) but I would keep buying them. I tried to get by with some Duralast Gold that AutoZone offers, and it’s a night and day difference.

Although it says they won’t fit GMC Sierra or Silverado 1500 models it does. If you have 785 in your part number then they will. Shims are better than original. The z23 series comes with more of the components like the grease and new caliper pin boots and inner bushings. Went in easy and stopping is smooth and quiet with good feel at the pedal without breaking them in yet even. (z23 requires heavy braking at speeds repeatedly with a process you need to perform to seat the pads right) These had no such instruction. I believe these feel better than the z23 pads I had on my Chevy. I have a Gmc now with exact same setup front to back.

Once the correct ones came it was fine. And they are good value compared to local offering. No one had the right ones for our truck locally. But the first set were the wrong brakes even though we used their identification tool and put in the make and model of our truck and ordered their recommendation we got the wrong brakes. Easy to return and got new correct ones quickly however. But still they should fix their info guide.
