WOW, okay these have a bit of squeal but they BITE, you can’t go wrong with these at all. They’re beautiful pads with a huge contact surface and stopping power that will change the way you use your brakes. 10/10 love them.

Just as the other reviewer I put these on just prior to a track day. Car is a 2011 STI sedan running stage 2. Performance is much better than the stock pads. Front rotors were upgraded at the same time and also added ATE super blue. No fade at all – the STI is slightly lighter than the Boss and of course makes less power so the pads might be a better match for smaller cars. Exactly as the other reviewer experienced there is a loud squeal at low speeds now. I bedded the pads well so it is likely a symptom of the pads. I am willing to tolerate the noise for the vastly improved braking – I don’t drive the car to work everyday. The Hawk HP+ pads are a decent compromise if you don’t have the time and/or money for a separate track set up. These are overkill and too noisy for street only use.

These Hawk pads replaced a set of EBC Red stuff and they outperform the EBC pads by a mile! Specially, when you are talking about hard braking from 80+ mph.
Pads were installed on a 2002 Audi A6 daily driver. The car has an upgraded Brembo front caliper setup (larger 4 piston) and 330mm rotors, with stainless lines.
The low speed (in town) bite is pretty strong (could be on the harsh side until you get used to them) and this is where a lot of people will probably not like them for daily driving (which I guess they are not intended for in the first place). They definitely took some getting used to 😉
BUT…
When you are on the freeway and you need to stop, these pads will blow your socks off. The only thing you have to be careful of, is the clown behind you that does not have the same ability to stop….. My mechanic made fun of the “racecar bite” after he drove it and all I could say is… I love it! lol
Another note…. they are NOISY, and again…. they are not intended for daily driving, so that is to be expected. I do not mind the occasional squeal so it really does not bother me.
I read a review (on here) where someone stated these are overkill for daily driving, which is probably true, but… in my opinion, that greatly depends on what a driver considers to be “spirited / aggressive driving” and what they consider to be “high speed braking”.. If you rarely exceed freeway speed limits or never go over 80 mph, you will not need these pads.
If you do some “occasional” high speed “travel”, these will make you a safer speeder… 😉

I’ve run these on 8 track days so far and they have been great and I have a few more days worth of pad left. I don’t notice any fade and they have performed predictably.

Overall great bit on initial braking. I used these on one track day so far and some street use. They work in both cases very well and so far no overheating issues. I do however brake cooling ducts on my 2013 Mustang.

I bought these pads as replacements for the stock pads on my 2012 Mustang Boss 302 prior to a track day. (I bought fronts and rears)
Performance on the pads is pretty good – they have a noticeably higher coefficient of friction (especially when warmed up) than the stock pads, without sacrificing cold braking performance much.
I did have a fair amount of fade during my track day – possibly due to insufficient bedding. The fade did get better during the day, but I never felt very confident with the brake feel on the car (which otherwise performed great on the track). Admittedly the car is very heavy, and I haven’t yet installed brake ducts, so any pad is likely to be challenged.
Note that I did replace the brake fluid as well (with ATE Super Blue fluid), so feel issues were not likely to have come from brake fluid boiling.
Once driven at the track, the pads have also developed a very pronounced squeal when applied under 35 mph. I can put up with it, but some might find this annoying.
I’m likely to switch to dedicated track pads once I get through this set – I’ll save the stock pads for the street.
