Instructions:
To replace, turn on the accessories, flick the wipers to the on position, and then turn off the the accessories. The wiper blades should come up and stay up for an easy change. If they don’t, redo the steps and they should come up. Taking the old ones out is easy, but getting these in are a challenge if you haven’t changed the wipers in a long time. If you compare with the old OEMs, these Bosch wipers have an extra ledge / groove that will guide the metal clip in so it requires more force and the old one. If you are consistent with your motions and just go in for the “click” everything will work out alright.
Performance:
They work great! I didn’t even know my wipers needed replacing until I went in for a complimentary checkup at VW. They charged $45 also for a lesser quality product. These were less than $30 and took less than 3 minutes to install. When I tested them I was shocked at how good they were. All streaks were gone and the glass was so transparent that I thought there wasn’t a windshield. I haven’t seen my windshield looking this clean in a long time.
Note:
Replacing wipers is good for your windshield as sharp debris and exposure the sun will make the wipers hard and scratch the windshield. For best results, use the wipers when the windshield is wet and clean under the wipers monthly to make sure no debris was lodged under the blade which will cause damage to your $300-$500 windshield.
Thoughts:
Bosch is a quality product and brand. They are OEM for many German makes so rest assured, these will do the job and are probably the best replacements you can get. Bosch was chosen by the manufacturers who know their cars best. It’s best not to second guess their expertise of 1000s of engineers. Most decisions about your car should not be trusted to the average person and their neighborhood guy at Autozone. I’ve heard of a lot of people using aftermarket parts which affect other parts. Even though a windshield wiper isn’t the most critical part, the same concept is true in terms of the longevity of the wiper and quality of performance. I have kept my car stock to the nuts and bolts and it has never broken down on me. Treat it like a lady and it will treat you and your wallet well.

Installed in a minute of two and are doing a great job. They do make noise as they go across the windshield. Thought they were installed wrong but not jumping just squeak. I can live with the noise.

After searching locally and getting the wrong wiper, I ordered the Bosch unit that Audi put on at the factory. Shipping was quick, by Alaskan standards, and the unit snapped right into place. Solid build as you would expect from Bosch!

I am a DIY kind of person and looked up compatible wipers with my car. These were a cinch to install (5 minutes!) and work wonderfully. I cannot speak to their longevity as it’s only been a week or so with them, but I’ve used them in the rain– there is zero squeaking, and they wipe very cleanly.
They appear to be very well-constructed and sturdy. I am pleased with the price and my experience thus far. Would recommend.

These do not fit modern VW vehicles like they say they do, but they fit on older models from what I have seen. Just be careful when purchasing. These are amazing wipers though, I finally got the right ones at a local auto parts store, and they keep the windshield clean and streak free.

Exact fit for the 2006 BMW 325xi.
Does what it is supposed to do and it does it well. So quiet and no streaks.

Everything is good as expected so far. Again, as mentioned by other reviewers. This is a set of 2 blades. One 24″ for driver side and one 19″ for passenger side. The 2 blades are actually in one box. The blades seem to come from Germany or EU market since I don’t find the aerotwin on Bosch US website.
Back to blade itself. It’s a perfect fit for MkVI Golf/GTI. It looks very similar to the OE, but there are many subtle differences in the design. I first replaced the 2.5-year-old OE blade on the passenger side. The performance is very clearly different. (Well the new one is better of course). The old one is not too bad though. It leaves some slight water thread which doesn’t affect visibility much, but the new one leave absolute nothing on the windshield. Better than I thought.
I’ll put on the driver side blade too and then it’s a matter of how long the aerotwin will last.
Update 11/07/2012
I have being using the pair for a while in the pacific NW rains. The only slight “issue” I can mention is that after the driver side blade going back to its idle position, there is a water thread along route of the outer tip. I don’t really recall if the OE one was the same. I don’t think there is any special design that help preventing water from going out of the tip of the rubber blade so I consider it as normal.
Another side-by-side comparison of the driver side blade to the OE one shows that the OE one curves more.
Update 5/30/2013
The driver side blade stat to shows signs of wear. I though there was debris under the blade but there was not. I’ll see if it can match the OEM’s 3 years of life. Thinking of trying the Valeo brand next time.
