Ryker K. –
Have only been running these for a few weeks now through the ice and snow in southern Alaska, but so far have been amazing. Just as good as the studded tires they replaced. A little noisy on the asphalt but nothing unexpected.

Unfortunately I bought a size too small… my car should use 255/45r19 (i bought 245’s). I believe this made this a custom or off-size overall (too low profile) and thus it’s missing it’s center channel which does two things:
1) better repellant/channel for water dispersion
2) decreases road contact without sacrificing traction- for a quieter ride.
Because this is smaller than my car is expecting and designed for- the range is a bit less and the ride a bit stiffer and the noise a bit more than it would be if I purchased the correct sized tire. And of course i lose one of it’s more ingenious features (the center channel dip) that made me love the tire the first time.
Can’t recomment the Cross Climate 2’s enough though. FANTASTIC tire the promises traction, range, less noise, year-round be it hot/summer or inclement/slippery weather.

The SUV rides very smooth. Absolutely no hydroplaning while driving in a very very Kheavy rain

So far so good. Road noise in our mini-van was better than the tires we had previously. We haven’t been on snow yet, but it feels like it is working well.

On march 17, 2022, I purchased 4-Michelin CrossClimate2 car tires for my Lexus LS460. From the attached photos you can see how soft the rubber is as tested with a Durometer Meter reading of 54 compared to 64.5 Meter on the replaced Michelin Radial MXV.4 tires. Never had a single problem with the MXV.4 tires. Those tires came with the Lexus and had a hard rubber ridge just above the rim which protects these tires from damage. I don’t remember ever running into a curb with the CrossClimate2 tires that caused the damage to the tire. The scuffing of the rim wheel is due to tall curbs, narrow tires, narrow drive ways and the driver of course. The CrossClimate2 tire was on the front driver side and usually never is a problem with contact with the curb, these rims have been rotated many times and show curb scuffing. The 4-Michelin CrossClimate2 rubber is very very soft and should have a protective edge to the tire and harder rubber like the Michelin Radial MXV.4 tires, there is no protection as is the case with the Radial X.
I spoke to Michelin help desk and only received a directive, talk to your dealer.
I checked the Durometer on two of the CrossClimate2 tires still on the auto and the Durometer reading is not consistent on the rubber hardness, telling me there is a problem in manufacturing and quality control.
The 4-Michelin CrossClimate2 tires are defective in manufacture and design and I would not recommend them 100%.
