The DVDs did not get opened and attempted to be installed until recently. We travel a lot in the summer to a theme park, and it keeps the little ones occupied and entertained until we get there… no one wants to hear “are we there yet” for 45 minutes. Got them out of the package and there is a quick 5 page pamphlet that came with the DVD players. Basically no information at all. Initially I thought, SWEET, this will be a cake walk! Nope. I sat in my car for an hour trying to sync the two players. Im not the smartest person in the world, generally I can make things work even without direction, but I was literally in tears with frustration. To this day, we have not used these players. I have tried, but I can not get them to work. I can play one movie on one player, and another movie on the other.. but really, who wants to listen to two different movies?
The remote controls both players at the same time. I had to keep covering one to work with the other.
NEVER did get the headphones to sync. Couldn’t get the SD card option to work, or connect to my phone.
I really thought paying more for them would be better than the others we have had (they wore out from being used so much, travel a lot with small kids). BUT I think I would have been better off going with the cheaper model that I knew worked.
Went to the website hoping there was some information on it…. same thing that was in the box. In looking thru FAQs, I found a link to a video… I had hope! NOPE, same video I watched before, different version of the players, only one had a DVD player, the other screen was a “slave” (ugh find a new term already). So that didnt help at all…
I have emailed Pyle to try to get assistance, if I get it, I will update this review. If not, they will sit in the box and I will cry about my money that was wasted… and go buy the cheap ones I know work.
**Update. Pyle emailed with a link to a video, different product number, didn’t address the headphones. I emailed them back, assume the lack of response is due to it being the weekend.
**update. Still no response from Pyle. (I have emailed every day with no response) Bought an HDMI cable, tried that AND THE FUSE IN THE PLUG BLEW! I about threw them out the window!

I bought this for my two daughters, it worked perfect because one is still rear facing so I am able to have both kids watching a different video. I love that the DVD’s insert on the top and the buttons to control each screen are on the front where my oldest can work it on her own. The only problem I am having is getting the headphones to connect wirelessly like it says they do.

Good: The DVD player starts up faster than my previous DDAUTO. The picture quality is good. Hooking up the wire harness is fairly easy. The screen cover is useful. Reasonable in price.
Bad: the headrest bracket is not made to fit thick posts. You would need longer screws. But it’s not included. I emailed support and it has been two weeks with no solution (bad support). The instruction manual has no details on the setting, such which feature does what. I struggled just to get the headphones and the wiring harness output to work. The buttons/wording on the remote control are small and hard to use. Couldn’t get the MPEG4 to work on the SD card.

We love these tvs. They were super easy to hook up and the picture quality is great.

Picture is very clear. volume is low but perfect with headphones which allows me to hear the radio while grandkids watch dvds.it does not have clear instructions on how to mount. it just says mount it. It doesn’t have clear instructions on how to prepare it for mounting. No instructions on how to pair headphones either even though it’s very easy to pair.

Excellent product. Complete with installation cables. I used the all-in-one cable that plugs into the back of it, and wired it to a 12-volt auto plug. The monitors are crystal clear. We are able to watch DVDs, share video, and watch video from off of a phone through the HDMI feature. The installation was pretty straightforward with the headrest latches fitting my 2020 Ford expedition perfectly..

Okay, yes I did lots of research and homework trying to figure out the right in-car dvd player set, and this was it! I checked out a lot of other ones and kept seeing similar reviews about sound quality and dvd players not working after a few months or couple years. So, I looked and looked and found this set of pairable dvd players so that my two toddlers could watch dvd movies for our road trips. So far so good (two months now).
Picture quality on my 9.4 inch players is good and sound quality from both on max volume is good for streets and ok for freeway driving ( only minus so far). Other than that, kids love them, I can reach over and pop a dvd in and out from player (s), use control to turn up or lower volume or do anything else from remote. Have not used headphones or played video games on them yet ( kids are too young, and daddy doesn’t have time to play anymore….).
Still, another bummer is that their “instructions ” they provided are non-existant- by that I mean they only show you how to hook up the dvd mounts to the back of the head rests, which is easy. But they give you a bunch of wires (RCA, S-video pin, audio cables etc) and expect you to know how to hook them up on your own. Mind you I have some background on hooking audio and video equipment up, but if it was my wife, forget it she would of been lost! Thanks for no hook up.or video instructions PYLE …not even a youtube video to help!
Well, I was able to figure it out, plug in all the cables provided into one another and syncornize both dvd players to play one dvd…or you can play two separate dvd at the same time for each child. Hmmmm what else…? No battery hook up, only plugs into car adapter for both units…so two outlets needed in car. Besides hook up issue, I do love them and they are sleek and pretty thin for in- car dvd players, which is nice and what I was looking for…and loads the dvd from top. No need to open anything to put dvd in. If yoy have questions about them feel free to drop me a line.
