Very disappointed with these, come on PIAA – I expected more out of you. Reputable maker, poor product- these are as yellow as yellow tinted bulbs, cheap halogens are more white than these.
They are no where near the 4000K as advertised, I just picked up these with some 4000k LEDs so they would kinda match, I knew the PIAAs would be a little different but, its almost stupid noticeable. I would have put back in my sylvanias if I didn’t touch the bulbs taking them out. They where more white than these PIAAs. 70$ down the drain. Very disappointed.

Upgraded my fog lights with these and I am very impressed. I also upgraded my headlight bulbs to the PIAA Night-Tech at the same time and with all the night time driving I do on country roads these are a really big improvement over the stock ones that were there before. I’ve tried others in the past on other vehicles for night time driving and so far these appear to be the brightest.

I ordered these lights because the OEM lights are not bright enough. These lights are very clean and shine very bright. They replaced my fog lights on my Mustang and when I use them with my new Sylania H13 Silverstar Halogens they light the night as if it was daytime. in fact I cant turn both on at the same time as motorist think I have my brights on. If you are looking for lights that burn clean these are a great choice.

These lights are ok, not much brighter than my original bulbs to be so expensive.

I installed these in the driving lights of my 2008 Ford FX4 and they really are much brighter than the original stock bulbs. The stock bulbs had a bit of a yellow tint to the light output but, not these babies. They seem to about as close to white light as you can get. I also installed these same brand bulbs in my headlights and now, my new headlight bulbs along with these new driving light bulbs really “light up the night”! I installed these several months ago and, so far, they are holding up good and I haven’t had either of them to burn out on me. However, I have had one of my headlight bulbs to blow (on high beam) so, that’s made me a little concerned about the bulb life. But, we shall see. So far, so good. 🙂
Ontime 2 –
These are about the same color temperature as Sylvania Silverstar Ultras, maybe a slight bit whiter. Although they are fairly bright, I wouldn’t consider them “Xtreme.” For a bit more money you can get the New Brights LED Conversion Kit in this style and will achieve much more pleasing results. The New Brights are available on Amazon in all popular sizes including H10 and are much brighter and whiter than you might imagine. Those are available in 6000K color temp (which I recommend) and higher depending on your color preference. I thought the PIAA’s were the best out there until I found the New Brights. In the long run the LED’s have a longer life expectancy and do a better job. The PIAA’s are an upgrade to standard OEM halogens for those who are on a budget or have fitment issues with the New Brights. Some have mentioned the PIAA’s and Silverstars having short lifespans. My Silvertars lasted less than two years of everyday use before they went bad. I think the vehicle/road vibrations and hot/cold cycles shorten the filament life as is the case with most incandescent bulbs.

I have read horror stories about the more expensive lights burning out quickly, these are still to new for that as of yet, however, they do offer a decent amount of bright white light for the fog lamps. The price is kind of high? but if you want quality and brighter driving conditions…these seem to do the job.

Have been running PIAA bulbs in my last 5 trucks and 6 motorcycles. This set was installed in a 2004 Colorado which also has 9005 and 9006 PIAA headlight bulbs. This bulb is clearly white in comparison to the stock bulbs and installed perfectly. So far the bulb has endured night time off-road driving and the vibrations of the terrible roads. Have never had a problem with PIAA bulbs and trust them with my life on motorcycles.
Road visibility seems better over the normal light range and the main thing I notice with PIAA bulbs is that I get reflection off of road markers and signs further away then with just stock bulbs. I have noticed that PIAA is far more sensitive to any contaminants getting on it during installation which will cause premature failure so keeping the bulb glass grease, oil, dirt, and fingerprint free is critical, and sometimes makes a simple bulb change more time consuming.
Would have to agree with other comments out there that there are some bulbs that provide true white light for less, and with good to great bulb life, but PIAA has never let me down.
