I bought these to replace a set of 50W halogen fog lights. I didn’t like those because I could barely tell when they were on. You can definitely tell these are on. I don’t know whether or not they’re too bright for oncoming traffic. I’ve only had them for a couple of weeks, but I have used them in heavy fog and in blowing snow. I have mixed feelings about how they look- they seem very small on the front of my full-size pickup, but the smaller size also gives a cleaner appearance compared to the lights I replaced. The harness, switch and connectors are all of good quality. I also liked the adjustment mechanism. I was surprised that they didn’t come with a relay.

Great lights. One of the mounting brackets broke slightly as the metal is cheap and brittle.

The lights work great. I feel like the build quality should be a little better for a $300 pair of fog lights but once they’re installed, you’ll never notice.

I put these on my Jeep in my custom bumper and they really fill in the light down low where my LED headlights were lacking. Overall, I’d recommend them to anyone looking for some good fog lights

Can be used with low beam legal road use. Very defined cutoff point, not blinding others. Costly. Minus 1 star because they are overpriced a bit.

The adjustment feature is so easy and accurate to use. Lens size is perfect, allows even/large light spread ideal as near field low beam light fill. Bright enough to use as driving lights if aimed up, but doing that on low beam gets drivers flashing at you! They are much more expensive than others I’ve had, and, as such, should have come with a GREAT wiring harness. They don’t. PIAA gives a harness with relay switch and Trigger” wire wich you can spice into low or high beams, eliminating the need to turn on the switch for activation every time. I did a work- around, and have ordered the PIAA HARNESS but should not have to at this price point! Seriously low balled harness, not cool.

One of the units fogged up one day after installation. It was never dropped by me, no casing or lens cracks, just fogged up on the inside of the lens. Don’t buy this product. It’s quality is bad. It absolutely is not worth $250 for something that is not properly sealed at the Chinese factory.

Great for dog. Just BE SURE!!!!! You ensure there’s no wire wiggle near the light. They are not robust there, the wires will break and can’t be fixed at the ( junction box) solid plastic filled. Great for moisture block but can’t be serviced. I made a loop at the light, fastened to the light, then fastened the wire to my bush bar, that eliminated that problem.

First of all lets just say these are not your typical LED light, they are much better then 90% of the products you find. They are more expensive then most but like most products from the big lighting companies like Hella and Cibie the quality of the KC product is so good you are happy to give them your money. The units were packed well, KC included a very long wiring harness so they are easy to connect. Everything you need is included, and the wires are protected in a plastic sleeve so they won’t be cut by any sharp edges on your car. The lights look to be sealed, I did not try to open them, and their reflector housings are nicely made [no sharp edges or cheap moldings] they took great care in making these. The mounts have the usual two screws so I can tilt them up and down, but also include a third screw for adjustment. This spring loaded third screw made final adjustments way too easy. Just tilt the light so it squeezes the spring, then turn the screw with your finger tips and let the light back into place. No tools required. Their smallsize made it easy to find a place to fit them on my truck. Last and most importantly the light pattern is a true fog pattern, throwing a very bright pattern of light on my wall about 2 feet high and 12 feet wide without splashing light where its not needed [like into the eyes of oncoming drivers]. Adding these lights under my truck’s headlights was just what I needed to fill in the dark spots and make driving easier.

Update 18-Jan 2019. Still working. Plastic is still clear and water tight. Reflector still shiny chrome. Highly recommend.

I ordered amber, received white, which was a little disappointing but I had already mounted them and cut up the harness, a little disappointed in that.

The wiring harness is a joke. I’ve bought far better from Walmart lamps. The splices are a copper bite with electrical tape, with wire showing through on mine.

The mount is nice with a real vertical adjustment screw to hopefully lock in the vertical aim much better than the normal mounts.

There is a real glass lens and the optics are clean and smooth. Light output is pretty true to the numbers, probably about like a 55w halogen. The focus is better than the typical 55w equivalent in this size, and I believe subjectively it gets more light out where it’s supposed to be, where it can be used.

The focus pattern for a 3.5” bowl is better than all of the cheaper halogen equivalents I’ve tried in its size. It does look like it tries, somewhat, to concentrate more light up towards the upper cutoff rather than just puke light or send a rectangular strip which provides too much foreground. BUT, it’s a tall beam spread which will probably work better from a higher mount point with downward aim, than a low mount point with a higher aim. On top of that, the upper cutoff is Not crisp at all, so to get a good outward beam, there will be some glare to oncoming traffic. I have a set of $70 LED fogs in the truck which do a better job at the upper cutoff, though admittedly fall short in the near field to horizon distribution (which is needed to not over-light the immediate ground in front of the car/truck).

All in all, they are ok… even “good”. They aren’t enough to be great, especially at this premium price. A couple of pics are attached. I’ll try to get night shots later.
