The first one I got has issues- the Amazon team quickly sent a new one. I used the new packaging to return the old one and done. I am reviewing the one that works, of course.
    Where it wins:
This too does such a thorough scan of my truck, that it’s almost overkill. It scans through options I didn’t even know were offered on my model truck (e.g. headlight leveling). It scans tire pressure sensors, transmission, and numerous other components. The ‘reset’ function is WAY better than the one provided by Auto Zone complimentary scan service. My first scan (after Nissan reset the codes and Auto Zone reset the codes twice) still showed a history of codes dating back months. After printing my diagnostic report (which worked flawlessly from the yard to my HP printer inside, with no plug-in or any other download needed), I reset the codes using the Foxwell NT716. This reset was so thorough, I’m pretty certain the engine had to relearn some of its basic settings. I thought there was an error as not even my tire pressure indicator light came back on for a solid 15 minutes of driving. It finally did, among with the P0420 code confirming my catalytic converters had failed. I replaced them, reset codes again and have been all smiles ever since. I took the machine with me when helping a friend shop used vehicles: very revealing. I was able to download every update available, across all makes and models, and the entire selection is available for use. The unit accurately identifies VIN and make/model of vehicle as well.
    Where it fails:
This is a bit nitpicking, but it takes a long time to scan my truck. Several minutes in fact. This isn’t every vehicle- some take less than a minute, but on my Frontier, it takes awhile. That’s it.

I probably would have bought one for under $100 before trying this one, as I am not a free spender. But, after trying it, I gotta say it’s with the extra money and is a terrific tool. Recommended.

Understand why foreign makers of electronic parts want to give you a one year warranty.but it’s only worth it for a year because they don’t warranty it if there’s some problem with it, I returned it and not interested in investing in the company.

I’ve used this for a few check engine, abs, and airbag lights and has been spot on what I needed to repair. Only thing I dont like is that it takes a long time to boot up after turning on. Other than that, it’s been perfect and always updating new vehicles as they become available.

bought and used this instead of my old obd2 scanner which was showing me camshaft sensors code. With this I was able to pinpoint some problems through the live data and also found out a few things that needed preventative maintenance before the codes were thrown, well worth the money I saved a ton in future mechanical bills too!

Cheap junk. It worked fine the 5 or 6 times I used it over the past 16 months but now it won’t turn on, won’t charge, completely dead and the warranty is just one year.
