Works great, rips through materials like you expect it to. Balanced so that not much vibration transmits to hands and arms.

I have a Milwaukee, but it is corded. I should have bought a cordless one years ago, but finally did. sure is more convenient. Especially since my old corded one was the old type of blade fitting that needed an allen wrench to secure the blade. This one is great, super secure, easy, VS etc. Yeah, of course I have a dozen or more Makita tools, so plenty of batteries.

I used this to cut many (medium and large, fallen and crushed) bamboo stalks — like butter. Very useful. It will be great to cut down and cut up small trees and shrubs. Like any saw, everyone using it should be very careful. It has a sliding button and it’s important to be sure it is in off position when not using. It could be dangerous as it is so efficient. I am a 67 year old woman. It is heavy but manageable. I like owning it.

I upgraded from a black and decker. Man does this thing cut through stumps like butter. I’m using pruning blade to cut small stumps out of the ground and this makes the job way easier than digging them out.

I bought this Sawzall to help demolish a 12’X32′ storage shed, cut and trim small trees and brush stumps. It’s got plenty of power and gets the job done quick. It’s also heavy, but that’s what I expected. One weak point that I found was the adjustable foot locking clamp/mechanism is poorly engineered. It’s made of flexible plastic with two small metal tabs that go over the ends of the shaft that holds/allows the foot to be adjusted in length. On my Sawzall the plastic clamp, which has a lot of flex on the ends that connect to the shaft, came off causing the shaft locking the foot to fall out and the foot to fall off. It didn’t seem worth fixing, as I’m sure it would have fallen off again. So I’ve simply just re-inserted the foot and the shaft that holds it and wrap a piece of tape round the front of the tool to keep the shaft from sliding out. I’m not using the clamp at all. In spite of this one flaw, I would buy this tool again. Hence four stars.

No complaints with Makita tools, and this was one of the most useful tool purchases I’ve made in a while.

I used it with a 12 inch pruning blade to cut down three palm trees that had 14 inch diameter trunks. Great tool.

I’ve cut down 8″ trees with this thing. It’s got plenty of power and holds up well. Only downside is shared with most cordless options: you need multiple batteries to handle bigger jobs. But if you’ve got 3-4 batteries and a couple fast chargers like I do, you’ll never have to wait on one to charge to keep working
