I bought this only to process fatwood down into maya dust/fine tinder. I am concerned with the logevity of the plastic but so far it’s holding up. The rasp is coarse enough to produce good tinder.

I love these Stanley rasps. They work great. Nice sharp edge. They are light weight to hold. And the grip is comfortable. The price is reasonable, too. Plus, they seem to hold their edge through quite a bit of use.

I bought it to shape some oak boards bc i needed to be able to fine close work and it worked perfectly! The handle makes it easy to hold and maneuver. A lot better than your typical wood shaver. I would definitely recommend this if you want to do shaping with your wood projects.
