I use this to recover my home ac after the repairman from the initial installation company while still under warranty wanted 800 dollars to repair a leaking drier. I purchased this unit and a new drier and bet his quote. Can’t beat the fact I now own a recovery unit and have a fixed ac at a cost less than the repair from a ac company.

I’m an ASE certified mechanic who purchased this along with a mastercool 30lb recovery tank to do evacuations on car air conditioners to minimize refrigerant losses during service that requires removal of ac components. I just have to say, I had no idea what I was missing! Using this combination to capture and store refrigerant over night allows me to purge air after leaving it undisturbed, and the liquid draw off on the tank allows me to pump it into the high side using the recovery machine which GREATLY speeds up ac filling. I cannot believe how much faster my AC service goes now, all while being legal, helping the environment, and saving money on refrigerant!! It evacuates a 20 oz system in about 5 minutes if you draw the liquid off first from the high side after running the compressor for several minutes.

This tool is worth the money. No shop or diy person needs to be withont one. System can be a pain when it comes to clearing gas left in system after using it. Can be used with 1234yf system just need new cupplers and recovery tank that you used 1234yf olny in.

We were disappointed with this item. We have returned it for a refund but that seems to be going slowly. We found that the machine was not strong enough. We researched the machine and felt confident but truly it is good for those who are recovering from smaller units…ex vehicles. Nothing on a commercial level as with lets say, an Appion.

Could not believe how fast I was able to retrieve 30 pounds of freon from unit.
After repairs I used it to pull a vacuum down to 490 microns in no time.
Best item I bought saves time.

I run my own autoshop out if my home garage. I dont have the cash flow yet to afford the investment of a large all-in-one a/c machine. I am able to use this to recover freon from any vehicle. The time it take to recover is on par with any machine that i have used when working at a large shop. Its not loud. And will pull a slight vacuum when all freon is pulled out. To use this machine on a car with automovtive gauges.. you will have to purchase hoses and adaptors to convert it for the thread used on automotive gauges. Standard A/C gauges have a different thread connections. Also the purge function is to empty or clear the hoses of freon..which is important when switching from one type of refrigerant to another. This does not remove air from recovery tank.

Works well thus far . I was initially impressed on how quiet it was but vs. the CPS TR21, it’s much louder. However it is faster in recovery time and generates far less heat . Good pump for the price…

I use this to remove R134 From my car, quick and easy. No issues. Only used once so far and it was magic. Matched with yellow jacket hoses and manifold gauge.

I the product would trip the reset when it was turned on. Something was loose inside and the back was cracked. I was hoping it worked -because it had the best reviews. I wanted to replace the unit but there was no unit left in stock / so I had to for a different recovery station

Didn’t use it much , and now it has an internal leak on the shaft seal . Now what ? does this seller have warranty . Apparently I only had 1 month to return it .
