I purchased my SPX3000 in 12/2019. Not sure when the hose inlet started to leak, but it did. Tried fixing it but I think I really “fixed” it for good. LOL.
I purchased this replacement part and put it on today. No leak. Not even a hit of any kind of leakage. Works perfectly.

Necessary part of sunjoe pressure washer but fits to the machine fine but can’t be threaded to my hose blind. Finicky for the thread to start. Hardware store may have connector like this that grabs the hose better. Also, the green part has only a few threads. My old hose had a somewhat worn and damaged male end, and this would not catch the first thread. It held fine on another hose. This is fairly cheap but you may be forced to repair your own hose.

I replaced my stock, plastic hose adapter with this aluminum one because the stock adapter flexes when I accidentally tug on the pressure washer and move it. I have a very rigid hose and the stock adapter looked like it wouldn’t take too many tugs before cracking. This aluminum replacement is very light weight, but quite sturdy. I would recommend that anyone with a Sun Joe pressure washer with a plastic adapter replace them with this one. I am very happy with this purchase.

At first, I tried it the right way, silver part on the machine. Threads wouldn’t take. Finally tried it the other way, green on machine and it threaded fine, so I assume I had it backward. Then, weeks later I tried screwing a hose onto it and it wouldn’t start. Threads looke fine, I wondered if I’d gotten a European thread or something so I tried 5 other hoses / fittings and none of them would start.
Then I came back to this site and saw the the green part connects to the hose, so I switched it around, applied teflon tape to the machine, got the big channel locks and went for it. I really thought I was gonna ruin the plastic threads on the machine, but it finally went on. I’m thinking it was the give of the plastic threads that allowed it to go on.
Happy ending for me, but a mere mortal would have given up and sent it back.
