About 6 months after I got a new truck I took it off-roading, rolling down narrow trails for about 8 hours. Branches often scrapped the sides of the truck leaving hundreds of superficial scratches. Fortunately, nothing that wouldn’t buff out. I had some MacG*****, you know the product. I had enough to do one side of the truck. Worked my way through 4 different “grits”. It took a couple hours+ but it removed most of the scratches. I wanted to try out this product so I bought the 4 pack and used it to do the other side of the truck. Chemical Guys recommended using the lightest grit first to reduce how much paint gets removed. Okay, I tried it. One pass removed 90% of the scratches. Second pass, they were 99% removed. Doing the whole side of the truck took a half hour or so and left the truck much more shiny than the other side. I was really impressed. It was a little harder to wipe off than the other product but worked so much better it more than made up for the time. I didn’t intend this to be a side-by-side comparison, I just wanted the scratches out of my truck’s paint. Running out of product halfway just made it work out to be exactly that, a side by side comparison. I found it works much better than the other stuff. The most aggressive grit is quite aggressive, you may not need to buy the 4 pack, you might just get by with the least 1 or 2 aggressive levels depending on what you’re buffing out.
I also do woodworking, I turn pens on a lathe for fun and profit and I use this product to shine up CA glue finish and resin castings. I had similar results to my experience with the truck. It worked so much better than the McG product. It really reduced my sanding time. I used to go through all the micro-mesh pads then use McG, now I sand to 600 and just use the Chemical Guys product, done!
I will absolutely be buying this again. Funny thing, it’s easier to buy on Amazon than the Chemical Guys website. They’d been out for months when i thought to check Amazon and was surprised to find it available.
So, bottom line, this is a really good product and well worth the extra money. You may not need such an aggressive grit though so you might consider just getting the lightest grit first and trying it out. Good luck and happy buffing.

excelente producto, el 32 para despues de la lija de 3000 me funciono bien, luego el 34 y asi, para una parte recien pintada. En partes donde la pintura era la original solo use el mas fino. el acabado me gusto muchisimo.

I’ve been doing paint and bodywork professionally for a little over 30 years and wasn’t happy with the results of the brand compound that was sold at our local paint suppliers… everyone pushed one well known brand. anyway I came across this 4 step chemical guys kit and after doing a little reading up on it I ordered it…. I’m using for the 1st time rt now on a Harley tank and fenders that I just painted and color sanded with 2000 then 3000 grit sandpaper…. for the 1st step(#32) I’m using a firmer foam pad with a random orbital buffer then for 34, 36 and 38 I’m using the waffled foam pads… so 4 steps, 4 foam pads… from firm to soft. so far I’m impressed and happy with the results……. most systems are 3 steps but with this there’s a 4th step but the results so far are worth it….. take your time, do all 4 steps…. also, using the orbital buffer I haven’t seen any swirl marks to have to get out…. if your still using a standard buffer, give a orbital buffer a try… as soon as I get the Harley parts finished I’m going to use this kit on my 2006 Chevy Silverado

Used this set in combination with Chemical Guy’s clay-bar kit, and WOW. 14+ years of dirt and swirls came right out. I’ve never done more than just a simple hose-down and sponge-scrub on any of my vehicles, but this stuff was easy to use and beat my expectations.
Started by giving the bike a wash with the Clean Slate wash from the clay-bar kit, then went over it with the claybar (which is the point where the before pic was taken). Then proceeded through each of the 4 polishing compounds in this kit with a cheap set of 3in polishing pads and my corded drill. Dabbed it on and started slow to spread it, then a few passes a bit faster, one final pass at top speed, then wiped off the residue with a microfiber towel. Then grabbed a fresh pad and repeated with the next compound… After all the polishing, I applied the Butter Wax from the clay-bar kit and gave one final buffing by hand to get the after shot.
For my motorcycle, this set had more than enough compound to do the whole bike several times over, but I imagine it’d be cutting it pretty close trying to do a whole car. And that said, it feels a little pricey for such small bottles… But this kind of paint correction shouldn’t have to be done too often, so after seeing the difference, it’s definitely worth it!

I am happy with this purchase. I used it to buff out a faded vehicle and it worked great and a little went a long way. Thanks for a great product. I would but it again if I need it. I believe the bottles will last a long time. Thanks.

It is worth the value for your money, and it took me awhile to get used to it with different polishing pads, I am still experimenting with the products. The end result is great the sheerness is great and the products are applied great.

Bought this sampler kit after watching the Chemical Guys videos on how to remove paint transfer and scratches. This stuff definitely works as advertised! I used the V34 polish with the Porter Cable 7424XP DA that I purchased and CG orange hex pad. I buffed out all scratches from the hood of my wife’s 2003 corolla then followed up with the white hex pad V36 then V38 polish. WOW! Looks like new again!
I moved onto my car that had paint transfer on rear door/wheel well, and in about 5 minutes it came off completely. I was afraid of burning the paint on the wheel well so I used a piece of the CG orange hex hand pad that I cut off with V32 polish. I had to rub vigorously for a few mintures but the paint transfer came out. Now you cannot tell the white paint transfer lines were ever on that part of the car unless you look up real close and see indentations from the deeper scratches but thankfully it didn’t get to past the clear coat.
I ordered more of the V34 and V38 to do a two step polish on our cars for the future.

I wanted to get rid of the scratch (not deep), on my car from car washes, tree branches, etc. Look around on various web sites for the best compound to use and this one came up on most of them as the best. I bought the smaller size (4 oz) as I only needed to do my car, and this was a better size (and cheaper), and was able to do the entire car.
The 4 different “grits”, will help you figure out which one to use on the scratches or swirl marks on your car, so was really impress with how well they worked, and made my car look like new.
If you have deep scratches, (I did), so bought some touch-up paint, and used the compound to buff it out and also worked very well. If you have scratches that go down to the metal, you’ll need to use primer, then paint then gloss to fit it well. May be a job for a professional, I tried with mixed results.

Chemical Guys products are great. They keep my older cars looking great.

These are very good for polishing epoxyglass resin, even the coarsest delivers a glassy shine. I’ve dedicated a foam disc to each grade. The aroma is quite tolerable, a vague and inoffensive lemony scent. The downside of these polishes is that they will reveal scratches deeper than 1200 grit or so, so make sure your work is well sanded!

If you’ve ever tried to polish a car you know it is a time consuming and laborers project. This product doesn’t really take any less time, but the end results look so much better
