1. First I took a heat gun on low and softened the plate and bent it to conform to the angle of the fairing make sure to try and gently bend the plate between the 1st & 2nd guage hole & between 3rd & 4th holes rather than all in one place in the middle between 2nd & 3rd hole. Hey over bit just a tiny bit because when it cools it likes to reflex back a little bit. So test it after it’s cool to see if it’s snug.
2. I took alcohol and cleaned all the services both on the piece as well as the fairing surface.
3. First let me say I tried applying tape to the inner parts of the piece that’s slightly recessed and it made it not have good contact as the thickness of the tape did not even completely fill the recesses so the glue couldn’t reach the surface of the fairing well… so instead I applied the pieces to the edges.
The tape that comes with the part is pretty worthless so I used Gorilla Tape.
Next I took the Gorilla tape and cut it in thin slices about 1 cm or even less when traveling underneath the gauge hole openings and put that on the piece and then carefully peeled the back plastic protection off of all of the tape pieces I had mounted to the plate.
I used the edge of a razor blade then grabbed it with some small hemostats to get the plastic covering off but I’m sure tweezers would work or good fingernails which I don’t have.
I had to be careful not allow my fingers to overlap the exposed tape and put prints on it.
4. It was about 63° F in my garage so I went ahead and took my heat gun and again warmed the plate a little with the tape exposed and also warmed the surface of the fairing so that when I applied them it would be at optimal temperature. I held pressure for several seconds before I released and did this in each section.
I was very pleased with the results!

Large gauges part is not designed to fit shape of dashboard. It won’t flex and supplied take will not hold it in place. Don’t waste you money. All other parts that come with set I installed fine, but now I’m stuck with only partly install as I can’t remove other parts I installed. Stay away don’t waste your money…

At the gage plate, I used a heat gun to cure it I bought 3m 2sided tape, then it went on like a breeze, the product is good

The Glue strips did not hold in the heat. Probably because the part did not have the right contour to match the dash. It was straight and the dash has a Curve to it. I got more glue strips double sided tape but have not installed it or tried it yet again. But looks good if it’ll stay on

Overall appearance is nice but it’s cheap plastic and not curved to match the curve of the dash. Cheap foam tape does not hold well against the pressure of the curve. Mine popped off the next day as soon as I started the motorcycle. I was able to re attach with Gorilla double-sided tape but it is not flush with the dash above the gauges now.

The adhisive strip provided don’t allow for the bend which must be applied in order to fit on the counsel. This is not molded to the to the proper fit, it must be curved in order to fit and the strip of adhesive is not strong enough to keep it in the form. Don’t waste your money on this item.
