I bought this to replace a nearly identical mounting bracket that got stolen. This bracket however, doesn’t seem like they checked its design before mass manufacturing it. there is an arched slot that supposed to allow you to adjust the angle of the plate, that slot does not alight with the hole in the mating piece at any angle other than facing straight up. I was able to get it to face mostly outwards by putting both adjustment bolts in the slot, instead of one in the hinge hole, like you are supposed to. Further, the screws are slightly too short to properly engage the nylon rings in the nylon lock nuts, and one of the lock nuts (the one that’s supposed to go with the bolt for the adjustment slot) was missing. On the plus side, the bolts holding the mounting plate to to the arm are actually bigger and more durable than my old one, so they get a bonus point for that. You will need to think like an engineer to get this one to work (or modify it), others that look nearly identical might be from a different manufacturer and not have these issues.

First off. This thing is some solid machined aluminum. It is well built, and HIGHLY adjustable. If you can’t adjust it how you want, or re-configure it to work for you… then you aren’t thinking.
If this doesn’t work for your project, it is because you shouldn’t be building a project anyway.

Some of the worst milling I’ve ever seen. The edges are jagged and sharp. Be sure to file them down and be careful unpacking so you don’t slice your hand. None of the screws holding anything together were tightened. Before to use loctite and check everything otherwise say buh bye to your plate.

Nice looking product, but god forbid it gets mounted to anything that might vibrate, like you know, a motorcycle. It will literally shake itself apart almost instantly. I’ve even put threadlock on it and it and almost lost my license plate today. Only the wires for the lights holding it on! Absolute garbage

Bought three of these already.. two times the back half of the bracket came unscrewed and lost license plate and led light while riding.. gonna add some locktite on the screws this time.. Design needs to be updated to add nuts to connect the license plate holder part with the rest of bracket to be more secure.
