I’ve had this for 9 months now. It’s my first piano so I can’t compare it to much. My biggest complaint is that the piano sounds are terrible. They sound like it’s coming from a tin can, mostly the “SuperNatural” sounds that are supposed to be the best ones. Even hooking it up to external speakers doesn’t help; it’s something within their sound engine.
The keys feel nice and heavy; not same as a real piano but close. Much better than a cheap keyboard. There is also some click/rattle from some of the keys which seems to be a common issue.
Overall, I would not recommend getting this model. I would search for something that has a much better sound especially at this price point. If you’re going to spend this much, maybe spend more and get a great sounding piano. Or go cheaper with something that has the same key feel.

first of all the e50 came with old version of software and have been trying for 2 days to find a way to update. the Roland website is not at all user friendly. if I click on support it just brings up a form to fill out.
no help at all. can’t find a video that actually explains features and how to use them.. I’m very disappointed in this product and the company who makes it so far. won’t pair with phone and i connected a usb cable to me desk top and still can not update.. why the Roland site seems to offer upgrades and stuff with out signing in but when signed in they do not.

I’m bit a musician, but my son is. I bought this as a gift for him to replace an old one he had and he is impressed with all is features.
I recalled he mentioned something about how the keys feel when pressed (felt natural?). Also, he loves the effects and arrangements that come with the piano

Can’t give a full review. The one I received has a FIRMWARE PROBLEM, it kept giving SYSTEM FAILURE CODE Fc 200 on startup. I returned it for a refund after ROLAND couldn’t give me a fix. They could only suggest places to seek repair! The seller accepted a refund on return with no problem.

Sounds amazing and has tons of instrument sounds too. The keys feel great and heavy. My husband and I are addicted to playing it now.

Amazing action and sound. One more Roland fan

I don’t think this is the most realistic-sounding piano, but at the $1000 price point it ticks a lot of boxes:
– Full 88-key with solid action
– Deep sounds menu and nice display
– Easy app integration things like Skoove
– Built-in record/playback
– A couple of mod wheels thrown in
I’m not saying it is GREAT at any of these things, but it is GOOD at all of them, and for someone like me who wants to start learning and still get several years out of this without outgrowing it, it is just fine.
My one complaint is that some options don’t save at power-off such as the “input volume” settings. So I have to set them every time.
