The material from which it was made, seem to be durable and the sound is good. So loud,I have to cushion the inside.
However, I have a couple dislikes.
(1) The spring on the kick for the foot drum is too stiff for a kid It needs to be a little less stiff.
(2)The face of two top drums are set facing upwards while it should be tilted to face the player. I had to put a bend in the metal that holds then in order correct that situation.

Santa brought this drum set for our 2 year old child and it was a very big hit. Literally and figuratively. It’s louder than I expected for such a small set but we’re excited to play it for many more years to come. My only complaint is the front of the kick drum is lumpy not a tight fit but we plan to create a graphic to apply over the front that will hopefully disguise the flaw.

This drum set is amazing. We were looking at several options for children’s drumsets for our 4 year old niece. We wanted something that was going to hold up for a few years that she could grow into and something that could take a beating (literally). For the money, this was perfect. We even used our Cricuit to create stickers for her band name.

My 7-year old loves this drum set! It was easy to put together with the instructions & only took me about 20-25 minutes. Once it’s put together, it’s a little heavy and hard to move through tight spaces, so I recommend putting it together in the place where you plan for your child to play on it. Overall the quality is good. I gave it 4 stars because the pedal has a faulty screw on one side that doesn’t seem fixable. My husband and I were a little skeptical that it might be too small for a seven-year-old, but once he’s sitting on the stool, the size is perfect. One other tip: the drums are loud (as any real drum set would be), and I ended up purchasing a set of mesh drumheads (Remo Silentstroke 8″ and 10″), along with a cymbal dampener band (Cymbomute Pro360 08/09), and this has really helped for both our sanity and to keep the neighbors happy.
